Menstrual blood is thick and stringy and insoluble in water

Menstruation is a very tormenting problem for women, but every woman has to have menstruation because it is the only way to give birth to the next generation smoothly. Menstruation can also reflect a woman's physical health. If there is irregular menstruation or problems with menstrual blood, it usually means that the woman has a gynecological disease. Sometimes, women find that their menstrual blood is thick and stringy and insoluble in water when going to the toilet. What is going on?

1. Factors that cause thick menstruation may be related to mental factors, mood swings, environmental changes, pregnancy, age, disease, drugs, and nutritional status. It may also be caused by severe cervical erosion, cervical polyps, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, uterine submucosal fibroids or fallopian tube cancer. Some intrauterine devices can also cause bloody secretions.

2. The menstrual blood is thick and contains a small amount of black blood clots, and the uterus occasionally hurts during intercourse. Normal menstrual blood is slightly dark red in color. Because it contains a large amount of necrotic uterine mucosa and inflammatory cells, it is relatively viscous and mixed with darker mucosa. Uterine fibroids, polyps, endometrial cancer, etc. can cause blood clots in menstrual blood. If you experience vaginal contact bleeding, discharge, frequent pain in the lower abdomen, etc., you must be cautious! Because these symptoms are likely caused by gynecological inflammation and are related to pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis, endometritis, etc. Relevant inspections are needed to confirm this.

3. There is also a high possibility of inflammation. The menstrual blood that women have every month is the blood flowing in the blood vessels in the body, and it should be bright red. However, because menstrual blood is mixed with sloughed endometrial fragments, cervical mucus and vaginal epithelial cells, it looks dark in color and is not as bright red as the blood flowing out of broken skin. There are also some small thin fragments mixed in the menstrual blood. In particular, some people have less menstrual blood, and the color becomes darker as the blood stays in the uterus and vagina for a longer time. Therefore, while paying attention to the color of menstrual blood, you should also pay attention to the menstrual cycle, duration of menstruation, amount of menstruation, and whether you have any discomfort.
