What to do if female follicles are not developing well

In order to complete the process of pregnancy, you must have a fully developed egg, because only in this way can the function be perfect and the discharged egg cells be perfect and healthy. But what if the uterus does not develop well? How can poor uterine development occur? Improper uterine development may lead to infertility. Let’s take a closer look at the issues related to uterine development below!

Luteinization of follicles

What does luteinized follicle mean? Maybe many female friends are not aware of this. Let’s take a closer look at it below.

The full name of luteinized follicle is luteinized uncleaved follicle syndrome (commonly known as LUFS), which means that the egg is perfect but not cleaved, the egg is not released but is originally sphingomyelinized, producing progesterone and excreting estrogen, causing a series of changes in the body's organs similar to the ovulation cycle. Women with luteinized follicles have normal menstrual cycles and near ovulation but persistent infertility. This is a special type of anovulatory menstruation and one of the main causes of infertility.

The treatment method varies from person to person, and is usually based on inducing ovulation. The most common way is to supplement growth hormone. If after using ovulation-inducing drugs, the follicles still do not rupture for several months, in vitro fertilization may be needed. The cause of LUFS is not entirely clear. Most experts and scholars believe that it is related to factors such as disorder of nerve center regulation, local obstruction, and mental and psychological state. The prevalence rate is generally considered to be about 5% to 10% during the natural menstrual cycle, and about 30% to 40% during the drug-induced ovulation period.

Because patients with luteinized follicles have normal menstrual cycles and usually do not suffer from major illnesses, they are often overlooked and misdiagnosed as infertility of "unclear cause". However, the causes of the disease are complex, and there are few reports and studies on it, making diagnosis and treatment relatively difficult. Therefore, it is included in the difficulty of gynecological reproductive endocrinology clinical trials.
