How many days after giving birth does milk come out?

We all know that many mothers now choose to breastfeed their babies because breast milk is very nutritious. However, women cannot conceive immediately after giving birth, so the baby still needs to breastfeed for a while. Some women produce milk very quickly, maybe in a day or two, while some women produce milk more slowly, and they will be anxious if the milk does not come in. So how many days after giving birth is the latest time for milk to come in?

Milk production method 1: Let the baby suck the nipple more

Studies have shown that within 1 week to 2 months after delivery, lactation mainly depends on the sucking stimulation of the baby to promote the secretion of pituitary prolactin.

Increased, pituitary prolactin inhibitory factor secretion decreased. Therefore, even though you may feel physically and mentally exhausted and your breasts may not feel swollen after delivery, it is best to insist on feeding your baby within 30 minutes after delivery, allowing the baby to suckle the breasts as soon as possible to stimulate the breasts to secrete milk as soon as possible. It is best to sleep in the same room with the baby so that the mother can let the baby suck the breast frequently. Repeated and irregular sucking can stimulate the mother's brain to secrete and release prolactin. In addition, as soon as the baby cries, pick him up and feed him to promote the secretion of prolactin in the mother's body and increase the amount of milk secretion.

Method 2 for increasing milk production: Pay attention to a happy mood after giving birth

Mental factors have a certain impact on postpartum lactation. Therefore, after giving birth, you should pay attention to maintaining a good mood, forget about your worries for a while, put housework behind you, and fully rest your body. Don't worry too much about whether your baby is eating enough or developing normally. Mental excitement and happiness will increase the level of prolactin in the body, thereby increasing milk production as quickly as possible.

Milk-producing method 3: Breast massage

After delivery, the breasts initially swell as the veins engorgement causes only a small amount of colostrum to be secreted. Newborns often cannot produce much milk and are often unwilling to suckle anymore. However, the breasts of the parturient are very swollen and painful, and unbearable when touched. Sometimes it is not possible to let the baby suck completely and wholeheartedly. Experience shows that breast massage is a very effective way to increase milk production.

The method is to cover the left and right breasts with a hot and wet towel before each breastfeeding, press the nipples and areola with both palms, and gently massage in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction for 10-15 minutes. Massage can not only reduce the breast swelling of the mother, but also promote milk secretion. Because the effect of breast massage is equivalent to the sucking stimulation of the nipple by the baby. This stimulation can penetrate into the hypothalamus through nerve fibers, prompting the pituitary gland to release lactogenic hormone; reflexively causing the pituitary gland to release oxytocin, stimulating the contraction of the mammary glands and mammary ducts, and ejecting milk into the lactiferous ducts leading to the nipple, thereby promoting milk secretion.

Milk-inducing method 4: Eating lactation-promoting foods

Some foods can promote milk secretion. If your milk is not coming in after delivery, or if you have little or no milk, do not give up the opportunity to breastfeed easily. You may try the following lactation-promoting diet:

* Crucian carp soup

500 grams of fresh crucian carp, remove the scales and internal organs, add 6 grams of tongcao and cook into soup, eat the fish and drink the soup, twice a day, for 3-5 days. Crucian carp can harmonize the stomach and replenish deficiency, eliminate dampness and promote diuresis, warm the middle and relieve qi, and has the effects of reducing swelling, promoting diuresis, and promoting lactation; Tongcao can promote ventilation and promote lactation, and the effect is better when paired with crucian carp, but crucian carp soup should be eaten lightly.

* Peanut porridge

100 grams of raw peanuts (with powder coating), 200 grams of rice. Mash the peanuts and put them into the cleaned rice to cook porridge. Drink the porridge in 2 times (once in the morning and once in the afternoon or morning and evening) for 3 consecutive days. Peanuts are rich in protein and unsaturated fatty acids, and have the functions of invigorating the spleen and appetite, regulating qi and promoting lactation.
