How to treat malnutrition in girls

How to treat malnutrition in girls

Although today with more and more abundant materials, people no longer lack food or clothing. However, due to poor eating habits, malnutrition is still very easy to occur, especially the lack of certain nutrients. For example, some women love beauty and pursue a noodle-like body, which leads to malnutrition. Malnutrition can cause weight loss or certain diseases, so how should women treat malnutrition?

1. Lack of glucose is equivalent to cutting meat to satisfy hunger

Every functional activity of the human body, including brain thinking, muscle contraction, and even breathing and heartbeat, is inseparable from the energy produced by glucose metabolism. Under normal circumstances, the concentration of glucose in the blood is always maintained at a relatively stable level. If the glucose absorbed by the body is not enough to cope with consumption, the most serious consequence is to cut meat to satisfy hunger and use the protein in the muscles as fuel. As a result, not only fat is lost, but the muscle groups that have been built up over a long period of time are also greatly weakened.

2. Lack of fat can lead to infertility

Fat is an indispensable component of the female body and can help women successfully complete the tasks of pregnancy and feeding their children. Adipose tissue is the body's energy reserve, which ensures that the next generation has adequate nutrition supply during the embryonic and lactation periods.

As early as puberty, estrogen in women's bodies has begun to intensify the transportation and storage of fat in preparation for the birth of the next generation. During this period, if a woman does not eat enough or exercises too much, her body will send a warning by stopping menstruation, reminding her that the body fat ratio is too low. At the same time, it suggests that there are problems with ovarian development and ovulation cycle, which will affect the chance of conception. It also suggests that the body may be threatened by decreased bone density, osteoporosis, decreased resistance, breast cancer and endometrial cancer.

3. Lack of protein impairs immunity

Think carefully about every tiny part of your body, from cells to organs, almost all of them contain protein. If there is a lack of protein in food, the human body's growth, cell differentiation, damage repair, immune response, hormone regulation and other processes will be affected. Take the immune response as an example. If malnutrition causes low immune function, the patient will often have weak resistance and be unable to withstand attacks from bacteria, viruses, and cell cancers.

4. Lack of micronutrients leads to multiple diseases

Many nutrients such as vitamins, iron, calcium, iodine, etc., although required in small quantities, are indispensable. If the human body lacks iron, it cannot synthesize enough hemoglobin, resulting in anemia and causing organs and tissues to suffocate due to lack of oxygen. If calcium is deficient, the body will have to dig it out from the bones, resulting in a significant decrease in bone density and the risk of osteoporosis.

5. Lack of vitamin A reduces night vision

Increase the intake of foods such as carrots and pork liver. Both provide vitamin A in plant and animal forms respectively, with the latter being more efficiently absorbed. It should be noted that vitamin A is a vitamin that dissolves in oil but not in water. Therefore, the absorption efficiency of vitamin A can be greatly improved by cooking carrots with vegetable oil rather than eating them raw.

6. Lack of zinc leads to loss of taste

Increasing the intake of shellfish, such as oysters and scallops, is an effective way to supplement the trace element zinc. In addition, ensuring 1 egg, 3 taels of red meat and 1 tael of beans every day is also necessary to supplement the trace element zinc.
