Menstrual flow is too light

Menstrual flow is too light

Menstruation is unique to women and can last for forty to fifty years. It can be said that menstruation is a friend that women need to deal with every month, except during pregnancy. Girls need to have a certain understanding of their menstrual conditions. It is best to fully record each of their menstrual conditions, such as the period of menstruation, the amount of menstruation each day, etc. So what is the reason if a girl's menstrual flow is too light?

Reasons for scanty menstruation:

1. Uterine hypoplasia

Menstruation is bleeding caused by the shedding of the endometrium during a woman's ovarian cycle. If the uterus is underdeveloped, for example, it is too small or deformed, then only a small part of the endometrium will be shed during the monthly menstrual cycle, resulting in less menstrual flow. In addition, endometrial lesions induced by endometrial tuberculosis, or damage to the endometrium caused by curettage, may also cause women to experience scanty menstruation or even amenorrhea.

2. Abnormal hormone secretion

Estrogen secreted by women helps the production of their endometrium. If the hormone secretion in the body is abnormal, it will cause the thickness of the endometrium in women to be insufficient, resulting in too little menstrual flow. Many factors can cause problems with hormone secretion in women, such as excessive dieting, irregular work and rest, mood swings, and abnormal reproductive function.

3. Anovulatory menstruation

Anovulatory menstruation usually means that the interval between two menstrual periods of a woman is less than twenty-one days, there are no mature follicles and corpus luteum, and the secretion of progesterone is basically zero. Estrogen levels are closely related to follicles, and will increase or decrease due to the growth and atrophy of follicles. If the secretion of estrogen decreases suddenly, menstruation may come early due to withdrawal bleeding. Because it is abnormal menstruation, the amount of menstruation is very small.

4. Excessive dieting to lose weight

Due to a variety of factors, many women have surprisingly high requirements for their own body shape, and they are even willing to go on excessive diets. However, the amount of a woman's menstrual period is closely related to her weight and body fat content, and being too thin will also affect the amount of menstruation. For this reason, women who already have menstrual problems need to temporarily give up weight loss, supplement the necessary nutrients, and speed up the process of health recovery.

5. Excessive work and rest can lead to endocrine disorders

In modern fast-paced life, faced with heavy work, women during their menstrual period are more prone to irritability. If a woman has irregular work and rest schedule and is anxious at this time, it can easily induce oligomenorrhea.

6. Often sulking and depressed

When a woman feels depressed, she must not keep it in her heart. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, depression and stagnation in the heart can easily lead to liver depression and qi stagnation, and cause too little menstrual flow. In addition, excessive mental stimulation, anxiety and psychological trauma can also lead to scanty menstruation.

7. Abortion

If you have just had an abortion, your ovaries will need to rest for 22 days before ovulating again, and your period will have to wait 30 days.

However, a small number of women experience menstrual irregularities after abortion, such as a longer period than before, unequal intervals between two periods, and amenorrhea. The above situation will usually return to normal after two to three months.
