When is the best time for women to conceive each month?

Every woman of childbearing age hopes to get pregnant as soon as possible after marriage, but pregnancy is not something you can get pregnant just because you want to. It has to do with your physical condition and time. In fact, women have a fertile period every month, during which the chance of pregnancy will be greater. Generally, according to the menstrual cycle, it is divided into a safe period, a menstrual period, and an ovulation period. The conception period is 4 to 5 days before and after the ovulation period. If you grasp the time well, you can help pregnancy very well.

Best time of the month for women to conceive

Generally speaking, women are most likely to get pregnant within two or three days before and after ovulation. For women with a 28-day menstrual cycle, ovulation should occur on the 14th day of the menstrual cycle (counting from the first day of menstruation). Therefore, the probability of ovulation is greatest from day 11 to day 15 of the menstrual cycle.

If your menstrual cycle is 30 or 32 days, ovulation may occur on the 16th or 18th day of your menstrual cycle. However, this calculation method is not applicable to women with irregular menstrual cycles. In this case, other methods can be used to estimate the ovulation time. A common method is to use changes in basal body temperature and vaginal secretions during the menstrual cycle to help understand the ovulation date.

First of all, the basal body temperature can rise by about 0.5℃ during ovulation, and the ovulation date can be understood by analyzing the body temperature curve.

Secondly, during the ovulation period, under the influence of estrogen secreted by the ovaries, the cervical opening relaxes, the amount of cervical mucus, i.e. leucorrhea, increases, the pH is alkaline, the texture is thin, the water content is 95%~98%, the mucus is transparent and clear, and the stringiness is enhanced to about 10 cm. All of this is conducive to sperm penetrating the cervix into the uterine cavity, which lasts for 2~3 days. This ovulation period is the time when women are most likely to conceive, also known as the "fertile period".

How to know the time of women's ovulation

Menstrual cycle: For most women, ovulation occurs about 14 days before the next menstrual period. The 2 to 3 days before and after ovulation are the fertile period. However, a woman's ovulation period is often affected by various factors including illness, emotions and environment. This method is also not suitable for women with irregular menstrual cycles.

Basal body temperature measurement method: Under the influence of sex hormones, the basal body temperature of women of childbearing age will change with the ovulation cycle. Before ovulation, the basal body temperature is around 36.5℃; after ovulation, the basal body temperature may rise by 0.3~0.5℃. The process of body temperature rising from low to high means the occurrence of ovulation. The 3 days when basal body temperature rises are considered the fertile period. Using the basal body temperature measurement method, you can measure your body temperature before getting up in the morning, and after accumulating the data for a period of time, draw a table for future use. However, attention should be paid to the impact of illness and other conditions on body temperature.

Cervical mucus observation method: The secretion of female cervical mucus will change with the changes in estrogen. Within 48 hours before and after ovulation, estrogen levels rise, the concentration of cervical mucus decreases, it becomes transparent, like egg white, and the amount increases, so the vagina becomes abnormally moist. This period of time is the fertile period. At the end of the ovulation period, estrogen levels decrease, cervical mucus secretion decreases, viscosity increases, and the vagina returns to a relatively dry state. However, attention should be paid to the impact of gynecological inflammation on cervical mucus secretion.
