How to treat cervical erosion and edema

Many female friends should be familiar with cervical erosion, because it is a disease that often occurs in women. Mild cervical erosion can heal itself, and moderate cervical erosion can also be cured through treatment, so patients with this type of disease do not need to panic. In addition to the above-mentioned situations, how should cervical erosion edema be treated?

1. Drug treatment: It is suitable for patients with small erosion area and shallow inflammatory infiltration. Antibiotics can be used for local application. Traditional Chinese medicine is widely used in the treatment of cervical erosion in clinical practice, and the effect is also good. Some prescriptions and formulas are often used, processed into powder or suppositories, placed on cotton balls, and applied to the eroded surface. Generally, the medicine is applied twice a week. During the treatment, there is more yellow vaginal discharge, but there should be no odor. The treatment usually starts after the menstruation is over, and the medicine is applied continuously for one month, and it is discontinued during the menstrual period.

2. Physical therapy: It is a widely used treatment method with the advantages of short treatment course and good efficacy. It is suitable for patients with large erosion area and deep inflammatory infiltration. Commonly used methods include electric ironing, laser therapy and cryotherapy.

3. Treatment can be done with drugs or physical methods. Drugs can be applied locally (preferably by a doctor) or vaginal suppositories can be applied by yourself. Drug treatment is mainly suitable for non-pregnant patients with mild to moderate cervical erosion, but drug treatment generally takes a long time and costs more. Physical treatment can choose laser, freezing, microwave and other treatments, mainly laser treatment, which usually improves after one or two treatments.

4. For the treatment of cervical erosion, first a cervical smear should be done to rule out precancerous lesions, and then a pathological examination of cervical secretions should be performed to confirm which pathogen is causing it. If necessary, pathogen culture + drug sensitivity test can be done to select sensitive drugs for treatment. Drug treatment includes local and systemic medications, but physical therapy is better for the treatment of moderate and severe cervical erosion.
