Why do girls have breast pain?

Breasts are a symbol of feminine charm and are vital to women. Sometimes many physical symptoms will be reflected in the breasts. Many women feel that their breasts are often swollen and painful. There are many reasons for this. For example, girls in adolescence have a swollen and painful feeling in their breasts as their bodies are developing. There may also be a swollen and painful feeling in the breasts before and after menstruation, during pregnancy, and after sexual intercourse. So don't worry too much, this is a normal physical phenomenon.

1. Breast pain during puberty

Breast tenderness during adolescence usually occurs between the ages of 9 and 13, and will gradually disappear after menarche.

2. Premenstrual breast pain

Many women experience breast pain and tenderness before their period, and may even feel unbearable pain when their breasts are vibrated or bumped. This is due to the increase in estrogen levels in the body before menstruation, or due to breast hyperplasia causing edema of the tissue between the breasts, resulting in swelling and pain. When menstruation arrives, the feeling of bloating and pain will gradually ease until it disappears.

3. Breast pain during pregnancy

Some women will experience breast pain around 40 days into their pregnancy. This is due to changes in hormone levels such as estrogen, progesterone, and prolactin during pregnancy, which cause breast enlargement and resulting breast pain. In severe cases, breast pain may even occur throughout the entire pregnancy. Generally, no treatment is required.

4. Breast pain after sexual intercourse

During sexual intercourse, the breasts will undergo physiological changes, such as congestion and swelling. If the sexual life is not harmonious, or sexual satisfaction is not achieved due to certain factors, the swelling of the breasts will not easily subside, and continued congestion will cause breast pain.

5. Postpartum breast pain

3 to 7 days after delivery, the mother may experience breast fullness and pain. This is caused by retention of mammary lymph fluid and obstruction of mammary ducts.

Breast pain could also be caused by breast hyperplasia?

Some women often feel unusually swollen and dull pain in their breasts, but they usually do not seek medical attention because they have no other discomfort. Some people even think that this can enhance the beauty of women's curves. Little do people know that swelling and dull pain may be the initial manifestations of breast hyperplasia. Delayed treatment of some breast hyperplasia may even cause lesions.
