How to delay your period

Many girls want to avoid menstruation when they are about to take exams or have some important activities, because some people are very painful when they have their period, because they always have severe dysmenorrhea, and if they don’t avoid it, it will bring a lot of trouble, so most people will choose to advance or delay their menstruation to solve this problem. So what methods can be used to delay menstruation?

Medication can delay menstruation and artificially adjust the timing of menstruation. It generally does not cause trouble for the normal menstrual cycle in the future, nor does it cause ovulation dysfunction and infertility. Of course, unless there are special circumstances, do not take medication to adjust the menstrual cycle. These methods can only be used in emergencies and should not be used frequently in normal times to prevent exogenous hormones from interfering with women's normal menstrual cycle.

In the second half of the menstrual cycle, it is best to take oral contraceptives two tablets a day starting one week before your next menstrual period until three days before your scheduled delayed menstrual date. This can achieve the purpose of delaying menstruation.

Take oral progesterone 2-3 times a day, 3-2 tablets each time (the daily dose is generally controlled at 12 mg), 1-2 days before the menstruation is about to come (even if the menstruation has come, it is not appropriate at all), and take it continuously. Menstruation will not come during the period of taking it.

Generally speaking, if you want to delay menstruation, most people take hormonal drugs. You can use progesterone or birth control pills. Any of them are fine. You cannot take anti-inflammatory drugs. Anti-inflammatory drugs cannot delay menstruation.

If you feel that the delay is not enough, you can take medroxyprogesterone acetate once a day, 10 mg (5 tablets) at a time, use it for ten days and then stop taking it. You will have your period within 3-10 days. However, if you don't have your period for a long time, the next time you have your period, the amount of blood will be heavier, and it may disrupt your normal menstrual cycle. It is recommended not to use it frequently unless it is absolutely necessary.

The drugs that delay menstruation are mainly contraceptives and progesterone! However, the side effects of contraceptives are relatively large, affecting the secretion of the endometrium, and even preventing exfoliation. It is recommended to use a simple progesterone, such as the more common medroxyprogesterone acetate!
