Female friends all know that vaginal bleeding only occurs during menstruation under normal circumstances. However, the increasing pressure of life and work nowadays has caused many women to experience bleeding after their period is over. What is going on? In fact, if a woman experiences a small amount of bleeding about 14 days after her period, this is normal. It is ovulation bleeding and there is no need to worry. If it is not ovulation bleeding, it is likely to be pathological and you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible. A woman's menstrual cycle can be divided into four stages: the menstrual period, which is the period from the onset of menstruation to the end of menstruation; the preovulatory period, which is the period from the onset of menstruation to ovulation; the ovulation period is the period when the egg is released; and the premenstrual period is the period from the release of the egg to the next menstrual period. Before ovulation, during the process of follicle development and maturation, the human body will secrete estrogen, and the increase in estrogen can repair the endometrium and gradually thicken it; estrogen levels reach a peak before ovulation, and once the follicles are discharged, estrogen levels will drop rapidly. When estrogen drops too much, the endometrium will not be supported and exfoliation and bleeding will occur. This is the reason for ovulation bleeding. Generally speaking, this bleeding is very short-lived, lasting 2 to 3 days and usually not more than 7 days. It will disappear naturally after ovulation and hormone secretion returns to normal. It will not affect your health, so there is no need to worry too much. Menstruation is a physiological phenomenon unique to women. As we all know, you cannot have sexual intercourse during menstruation, otherwise it will affect your health. So, can you have sex after your period? What is the cause of bleeding during intercourse after menstruation? Let me introduce it to you below! When menstruation comes, the endometrium falls off, a large number of wounds appear in the uterine cavity, and bleeding occurs. This blood flows out of the vagina through the uterine cavity, which is what we often call "menstrual blood." After that, new endometrium will soon grow at the wound. After the wound heals, vaginal bleeding will stop and menstruation will naturally stop. Generally speaking, each menstrual period for women lasts about 3 to 5 days. There is not much menstrual blood on the first day, and the heaviest menstrual blood on the second to third days, and then it gradually decreases until it stops. When a woman's menstruation has just ended, there are still some broken blood vessels and glandular ducts on the surface of her uterine cavity, and the tiny blood vessels are bleeding. The new endometrium has just begun to grow, indicating that there is no epithelial coverage yet. Although the wound has stopped bleeding at this time, it has not yet completely regenerated and repaired. If a couple engages in sexual intercourse at this time, the stimulation of the mechanical system will damage the wound surface that has not yet been fully regenerated and repaired, thus causing bleeding. Therefore, women should wait 2 to 3 days after their menstruation ends before having sex, which is more beneficial to their reproductive health. |
