Breast pain a few days before period

Breast pain a few days before period

Many girls always experience breast pain a few days before their period. This is normal, but if you experience abnormal breast pain a few days before your period, you should consider that it may be an abnormal phenomenon. You should pay attention to changing your eating habits, eat more high-fiber foods, massage your breasts frequently, and wear a fixed bra.

First, change your eating habits.

Eat a low-fat, high-fiber diet that includes whole grains, vegetables, and beans.

Second, massage your breasts frequently.

Gently massaging the breasts can help excess body fluids return to the lymphatic system. When massaging, first apply soapy liquid to the breasts, and rotate your fingers along the surface of the breasts in a circle about the size of a coin. Then use your hands to press the breasts in and then bounce them up, which is extremely helpful in preventing breast discomfort.

3. Wear a firm bra.

In addition to preventing breast sagging, the more important role of bras is to prevent the compressed breast nerves from being further compressed and eliminate discomfort. Careful sisters will find that those jogging athletes wear stable bras for this health reason.

Fourth, avoid diuretics.

Diuretics do help drain fluid from the body and can reduce breast swelling. But this immediate relief comes at a price. Excessive use of diuretics can lead to potassium loss, disrupt electrolyte balance, and affect glucose formation.

5. Don’t eat salty food.

High-salt foods can easily cause breast enlargement, and such foods should be avoided 7 to 10 days before menstruation.

6. Try hot compress

Hot compress is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy that can relieve breast pain by using hot compress bags, hot water bottles or hot baths. If you use cold and hot compresses alternately, the effect of eliminating breast discomfort will be better.

7. Prevent obesity.

For obese women, losing weight can help relieve breast pain.

8. Apply castor oil to your chest.

Castor oil contains a substance that can enhance the function of T11 lymphocytes, which can accelerate the recovery of various infections and relieve pain. The method is: drop castor oil on a cotton cloth folded into four layers, let it be soaked with castor oil, but not too wet to avoid dripping everywhere. Apply this cloth to the breast, cover it with a layer of plastic film, and then put a hot pack on it. Adjust the hot pack to a temperature you can tolerate and apply it for one hour.

9. Take vitamins.

The diet should contain foods rich in vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, and vitamin B group. These vitamins help regulate the production of prostaglandin E. At the same time, eat less margarine, because the hydrogenated fat in it will interfere with the body's ability to convert essential fatty acids (from food) into γ-linolenic acid (GIA), and GIA promotes the formation of prostaglandin E, thereby inhibiting the production of prolactin.

10. Stay away from coffee.

Does caffeine cause breast discomfort? It has not been confirmed yet. But according to medical research, many women with breast pain and other benign symptoms have significant improvement after quitting caffeine. Therefore, you have to give up coffee completely, that is, give up soda, chocolate, ice cream, tea and caffeinated painkillers.
