What to do if you have hemorrhoids after giving birth

New mothers who have just given birth are prone to poor diet due to their low physical activity and other emotional reasons. They are easily threatened by hemorrhoids, which can cause them great distress. After all, they dare not use some medicines to avoid adverse effects on the baby due to breastfeeding problems. At this time, they must pay attention to dietary taboos, develop the habit of regular bowel movements, and exercise moderately, so that the symptoms can be gradually improved.

1. Dietary taboos

Patients with hemorrhoids can drink a glass of boiled water or cold boiled water on an empty stomach every morning. It can stimulate intestinal peristalsis and help defecation. It is best to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. In addition, you should eat less spicy, fried, deep-fried, strong alcohol and other indigestible and irritating foods. Because this type of food can stimulate congestion and dilation of blood vessels in the cecum and anus, causing stinging and heaviness during defecation, thereby aggravating or causing hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoid patients who like to eat hot peppers can change their diet, eat a light diet, eat more fruits and drink more water, especially bananas, and eat more spinach, cabbage, loofah and other vegetables. These vegetables are rich in vitamins and will not cause excessive water loss, thereby making bowel movements smoother.

2. Daily Tips

Mothers with hemorrhoids should try to have regular bowel movements every day (even if you don't have a bowel movement, you should go to the toilet regularly to do defecation conditioned reflex training). Each bowel movement should not be too long, about 5 minutes is appropriate, and you need to use potassium permanganate sitz bath fumigation before and after defecation to keep the anus clean (a few potassium permanganate tablets are enough). At that time, in addition to sitz baths, I also used Mayinglong ointment because I was breastfeeding. Mayinglong suppositories should not be used for breastfeeding. Be sure to ask the doctor or read the instructions when using the medicine, otherwise it will hurt the baby.

3. Exercise appropriately

Pregnant women after childbirth need to pay attention to many things. It is recommended that they should not lie in bed all day, but get out of bed and move around appropriately, especially anal exercises. Anal movements are very simple. Just contract your anus by yourself, relax it, and then contract it again. Do it 3 times in a row, 1 minute each time, 3 to 7 times a day.
