What causes lower back pain in women?

Female friends, if you feel that you often experience lower back pain in your daily life, this is most likely related to urinary tract infection. In addition, spinal lesions and symptoms during pregnancy and after childbirth are also possible. Therefore, women's lower back pain needs to be ruled out from being related to gynecological diseases.

1. Urinary tract infection

Because the female urethra is short and straight, and the external opening of the urethra is close to the anus, E. coli often parasitizes. In addition, due to the physiological characteristics of women, the urethral opening has a greater chance of being contaminated. If hygiene is neglected, urinary tract infection is likely to occur. It often manifests as distension and pain in the lower back, and in severe cases, it radiates along the ureter to the perineum. In addition to urinary tract infections, urinary tract stones, tuberculosis and other diseases can also cause low back pain.

2. Spinal lesions

Women who suffer from rheumatism or rheumatoid arthritis due to cold or trauma are often attacked by wind, dampness and cold during menstruation, delivery and postpartum period, which causes bone spurs in the spine and induces low back pain. If the waist has been sprained, it may develop into a herniated disc, causing severe back pain and even affecting the flexion, extension and rotation of the spine.

3. Fatigue during pregnancy and postpartum period

After a woman becomes pregnant, the growth of the fetus may increase the support for her waist, leading to relaxation of the sacrospinous ligament, which in turn compresses the pelvic nerves and blood vessels, causing low back pain. Excessive bleeding during the postpartum period, or working too early, being too tired, or catching a cold can also cause low back pain.

4. Pelvic inflammatory disease

Lower back pain in women is often a symptom of pelvic inflammatory disease. The low back pain caused by inflammation such as pelvic inflammatory disease is completely different from the low back pain in men and is a more common low back pain in women of childbearing age. Low back pain caused by pelvic inflammatory disease and cervicitis is relatively common in clinical practice. The pain is a sore and tired pain in the lumbar region, accompanied by a heavy pain in the lower abdomen and increased leucorrhea.
