In fact, from another perspective, nourishing yin means replenishing kidney yin deficiency, and replenishing the kidney means replenishing kidney yang deficiency.

Therefore, we need to look at what it means to nourish yin and tonify the kidney from two aspects.

Kidney Yin deficiency, a type of kidney deficiency, is a term in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It refers to the symptoms caused by kidney yin deficiency, lack of nourishment, and endogenous heat, which is called kidney yin deficiency syndrome in clinical Chinese medicine. It is mostly caused by long-term illness, insufficient constitution, excessive sexual intercourse, or excessive intake of warm, dry and yin-depleting foods. Symptoms include soreness of waist and knees, dizziness, tinnitus, insomnia, fever in the five parts of the body, hot flashes and night sweats, spermatorrhea and premature ejaculation, dry throat and red cheeks, red tongue with little fluid and no coating, and thin and rapid pulse.
