Don't rush to resume exercise after cesarean section

After giving birth, many new mothers are anxious to regain their figure as soon as possible, but the recovery process cannot be rushed, otherwise it will be counterproductive, especially for mothers who have had a caesarean section. If they exercise before the wound has healed, it will tear the wound and cause wound infection. Half a month after the operation, if everything is normal, mom can do the following exercises:

1. Lie on your back and lift your legs alternately, first making them perpendicular to your body, and then slowly lowering them. Do 5 times for each leg.

2. Lie on your back with your arms naturally placed on both sides of your body. Bend and lift your right leg and bring your thigh as close to your abdomen and your heel as close to your buttocks as possible. Alternate between left and right legs, do 5 times each.

3. Lie on your back with your knees bent and your arms crossed over your chest. Then slowly sit up into a semi-sitting position and then return to the supine position.

4. Lie on your back, bend your knees, raise your arms and stretch them out, and do sit-ups.

5. Lie in prone position with your legs bent towards your chest, your thighs perpendicular to the bed, your hips lifted, and your chest close to the bed. The duration of each session can be gradually extended from 2-3 minutes to 10 minutes, and done once in the morning and evening.

Caesarean section maternity care

1. After a cesarean section, the mother will lose a lot of energy and her body will still be relatively weak. Therefore, when she is pushed back to the ward, she should try to rest as much as possible and recuperate. After a good rest and when she feels better, she should sit up and move around moderately, because this can help blood circulation in the lower limbs. Lying down for a long time may affect blood circulation in the lower limbs and easily cause inflammation.

2. In terms of wound care, wipe off sweat in time to keep the wound dry and clean. Do not tear the wound if it is hardened, and do not scratch the wound.

3. In terms of diet, do not eat within 6 hours after cesarean section. Secondly, after 6 hours, the mother can choose to eat liquid food, such as thin rice porridge, fish soup, etc., but be careful not to eat foods that are easy to cause gas, such as soybeans and other soy products.

4. Mothers will sweat a lot after giving birth. They should wipe it dry with a dry towel and change their clothes frequently if they are wet to prevent cold.
