What foods can't you eat with adenomyosis?

Adenomyosis is a common clinical disease, which is very similar to endometriosis. This disease must be treated early. In addition to treatment, attention should also be paid to the diet of patients with adenomyosis. Many people do not know what foods cannot be eaten with adenomyosis, and spicy foods must be avoided.

1. Patients with adenomyosis should not eat acidic foods

Acidic foods have astringent effects, causing the blood to stagnate and hindering the smooth flow and discharge of menstrual blood. Therefore, people with dysmenorrhea should try to avoid consuming such foods during menstruation. Acidic foods include rice vinegar, spicy and sour vegetables, pickles, pomegranates, green plums, bayberries, strawberries, star fruits, cherries, sour dates, mangoes, apricots, plums, lemons, etc.

2. Patients with adenomyosis should not eat spicy food

Some patients with dysmenorrhea already have heavy menstrual flow. If they eat spicy, warm, or irritating foods, it will aggravate pelvic congestion and inflammation, or cause excessive contraction of the uterine muscles, thereby aggravating dysmenorrhea. Therefore, patients with dysmenorrhea should try to eat less or no foods such as chili pepper, pepper, garlic, onion, ginger, leek, chicken soup, durian and spicy condiments.

3. Patients with adenomyosis should not be greedy for coolness

Women with poor gastrointestinal function should avoid eating raw, cold foods before and during menstruation, such as cold drinks, raw cold dishes, crabs, snails, clam meat, leeches, pears, persimmons, watermelons, bananas, bitter melon, mangosteen, mung beans, cucumbers, water chestnuts, grapefruits, oranges, etc., so as to avoid cold stagnation and blood stasis which may aggravate dysmenorrhea.

4. Others

Patients with adenomyosis should try to eat less lamb, shrimp, crab, eel, salted fish, black fish, etc. Patients with adenomyosis should avoid eating foods that are hot, coagulant, or contain hormones, such as longan, red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, and royal jelly. Maintain a balanced diet, avoid foods that are too sweet or salty, eat more meals as much as possible, eat more vegetables, fruits, chicken, fish, and eat less coffee, tea, chocolate and other caffeinated foods. In addition, women who take an appropriate amount of vitamins every day have a low chance of experiencing menstrual pain. If you feel that food supplements are insufficient, you can supplement vitamins through oral medications.
