Women hate "yellow-faced women" the most! A medicinal soup can make you look better

Busy in the kitchen and taking care of housework, a young girl can easily turn into a woman with a yellow face, spots all over her face, a sallow complexion, and frequent dizziness and palpitations. What can I eat to replenish my body and make my complexion rosy again? Traditional Chinese medicine believes that Rehmannia glutinosa is a good medicine for women to regulate their bodies.

Lin Xiaojie, a professor at the Prevention and Treatment Center of Guangdong Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that Rehmannia glutinosa is the root of the perennial herb Rehmannia glutinosa of the Scrophulariaceae family. It is usually made with wine, Amomum villosum and tangerine peel as auxiliary ingredients. It is repeatedly steamed and dried. It is black and oily inside and out, with a soft and sticky texture. It tastes sweet and is slightly warm in nature. It enters the heart, liver, and kidney meridians. It is an important medicine for nourishing blood and producing essence, nourishing yin, tonifying the kidney and reducing fever. It is also one of the most commonly used Chinese medicines for both medicinal and edible purposes. Because it can treat or regulate symptoms such as sallow complexion, dizziness, palpitations, and irregular menstruation caused by blood deficiency, and at the same time nourish the liver and kidneys, it can be used with a variety of Chinese medicines to make soup or replace tea. For example, cooked rehmannia with white peony can nourish the liver, with pine nuts can nourish the heart, with longan can nourish the spleen, and with ephedra it can promote blood circulation without being greasy.

Lin Xiaojie said that in clinical use, cooked rehmannia is often added when tonic medicines are combined, such as angelica, and even very hot products such as red ginseng, dried ginger, and cinnamon. Generally, 20-30 grams of cooked rehmannia is habitually selected for combination. This is because tonic medicines that warm the yang and nourish the blood have an upward property, which can easily cause sore throat, acne, oral ulcers and other symptoms commonly known as "getting angry". Cooked rehmannia enters the liver and kidney meridians and has a downward nature, which can not only soften the liver, but also balance the tonic medicines, which can nourish without being dry, and have a better tonic effect.

Causes of yellow complexion

Staying up late for a long time and lack of sleep

If you don't get enough sleep due to staying up late, your liver and gallbladder won't get enough rest, which may manifest as rough skin, dark spots, and yellow complexion.

Accumulation of toxins in the body

Under normal metabolism, the food people eat passes through the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, large intestine, and is finally discharged from the anus. The whole process can usually be completed within 12-24 hours, thus ensuring that waste does not stay in the intestines for too long. Because the waste has been in contact with the intestinal wall for too long, it will inevitably be reabsorbed by the human body, causing poisoning. Although the human body has such an anti-toxin function, fatigue, stress or other physiological reasons can lead to metabolic dysfunction and endocrine disorders, causing the body's waste to remain in the body for a long time. The remaining waste will begin to rot in the intestines, and the flora in the colon will continue to decompose the waste and produce toxins. Philosophical toxins are reabsorbed through the colon, continuously seeping out to pollute the internal environment, and then enter different organs of the human body through blood circulation, thereby entering the body and causing various diseases, such as memory loss, fatigue, sallow complexion, constipation, hemorrhoids, endocrine disorders, obesity, etc.

Food

Carrots, pumpkins, orange juice, water spinach, cabbage, mangoes and other vegetables and fruits are rich in carotene. Excessive intake can cause carotenemia, which leads to yellowing of the skin, most obviously on the palms and soles, followed by the face and behind the ears. In severe cases, the skin all over the body can be affected.

Long-term use of drugs containing yellow pigments

Drugs such as atadipine and furans can also cause the skin to turn yellow.

Poor blood circulation

The liver directly affects the blood vessels. Excessive liver fire or stagnation of liver qi can easily lead to poor blood circulation, affecting blood circulation in the face and making the skin naturally dull.
