Is 1cm of uterine wall normal?

Pregnancy actually has very low requirements on the uterine wall. As long as a woman has normal menarche without special circumstances, she can get pregnant. For women who are undergoing assisted reproductive technology, it is best to have an endometrial thickness of more than 1cm before doing IVF, and the success rate will increase. However, for women who are not undergoing assisted reproductive technology, that is, women who are not doing IVF, as long as their menstruation is normal, the thickness of the endometrium is not a factor affecting pregnancy. If a woman has a small amount of menstrual flow, she needs to undergo B-ultrasound to accurately measure the thickness of the endometrium. If the menstrual flow is too small and the endometrial thickness is <1cm, treatment is needed. After a few months of estrogen-progesterone replacement therapy, the uterine wall will show significant growth.

Experts emphasize that the normal thickness of the uterine wall should be determined according to individual circumstances. The normal uterine wall is the mucous membrane covering the uterus, which is one of the most differentiated tissues in the body. The normal thickness of the endometrium changes continuously with the menstrual cycle and is not fixed. Generally speaking, the normal thickness of the uterine wall is 0.2-1.0 cm.
