Symptoms and hazards of adnexitis, a must-read for women

Adnexitis is one of the common gynecological diseases in life. If this disease is not discovered and treated in time, it can easily lead to worsening of the condition, causing symptoms such as endocrine disorders, facial aging, and infertility. So what are the specific symptoms of adnexitis?

Symptoms of acute adnexitis

The symptoms of acute adnexitis are mainly acute lower abdominal pain accompanied by fever. During gynecological examination, there is obvious tenderness and rebound pain in the adnexal area. Routine blood tests can show an increase in white blood cell count and a significantly increased neutrophil ratio. Symptoms of adnexitis: If acute adnexitis is not treated in time or the effect is not significant, it may turn into chronic adnexitis.

Symptoms of chronic adnexitis

Chronic adnexitis causes abdominal pain of varying degrees. Chronic inflammation recurs frequently and persists for a long time, causing pelvic congestion, fibrosis of connective tissue, and adhesion of pelvic organs. Patients experience symptoms such as lower abdominal distension, pain, and lumbar pain, which may be mild or severe, accompanied by increased vaginal discharge, low back pain, menstrual disorders, etc., and often worsen during menstruation or after fatigue.

The dangers of adnexitis

1. Cause infertility

If chronic salpingitis is not cured for a long time, it can cause adhesion of the mucosa in the fallopian tube, resulting in blockage of the fallopian tube. When the fimbria of the fallopian tube adheres due to inflammation, hydrosalpinx may occur, leading to secondary infertility.

2. Cause ectopic pregnancy

If chronic salpingitis causes the fallopian tube lumen to be unobstructed, the chance of ectopic pregnancy (ectopic pregnancy) will be greatly increased.

3. Loss of ovarian function

The truly disastrous consequence of adnexitis is that the ovaries cannot perform their normal physiological functions. The ovary is one of the important sexual organs that distinguishes women from men. Adnexitis can not only cause female infertility and weaken and disappear secondary sexual characteristics, but can also directly cause endocrine disorders, lead to skin aging, and steal a woman's beautiful face.

4. Other hidden dangers

When the fimbria of the fallopian tube adheres due to inflammation, water, fluid, or pus may also accumulate in the fallopian tube, hindering the normal operation of sperm, eggs, or fertilized eggs, but the patient may not have obvious subjective symptoms.
