What are the common sense of female contraception?

For female contraception, it is a very important means of contraception in the normal life of a couple. However, with the gradual progress of society, many people have neglected the common sense of contraception. Sometimes unexpected pregnancy occurs, which brings great harm to women. Contraception must be taken seriously, especially for young women. If you don’t pay attention, it will affect your future fertility. Let’s talk about it below.

Pre-natal women:

Pre-primiparity refers to the period before first childbirth, including adolescent girls. Before having a baby, it is advisable to choose a contraceptive method that has little impact on future reproductive function and is not prone to infection. The period before first childbirth can usually be divided into two periods: the first sexual life (generally refers to the honeymoon period) and after a period of sexual life (about 2-3 months after marriage). During the first sexual intercourse, because the female reproductive tract is relatively tight and both parties lack sexual experience, it is advisable to use short-acting oral contraceptives, male condoms, etc.

Postpartum breastfeeding women:

It is advisable to choose a contraceptive method that does not affect lactation, breastfeeding and infant growth and development. (1) Intrauterine device, which can be inserted immediately after delivery or 42 days after delivery; (2) Progestin-only contraceptive method, such as subcutaneous implant and progestin-only long-acting contraceptive injection. Many data show that progestin-only contraception has no significant effect on breast milk secretion and has no significant effect on infant growth and development. (3) Lactational amenorrhea method or Billings natural contraceptive method.

Generally, if women do not want to have children after giving birth, they can take some long-term contraceptive measures. The most common one is to install an IUD. However, it is not recommended for some newly married women who do not want children to install an IUD because it may have a certain impact on conception within a few years. Generally, the safer contraceptive method is to use condoms.
