How to self-diagnose whether the fetal position is correct

There are many specific situations of malposition of the fetus, such as transverse position. In this case, it is often impossible to correct it, and it is best to choose a caesarean section. In addition, many malpositions of the fetus can be corrected, for example, by knee-chest position, acupuncture, or moxibustion. Of course, in addition to active correction of malposition of the fetus, a detailed examination is also necessary, and you can also conduct preliminary self-examination.

You can't measure it by yourself. If your fetus is still in an abnormal position, it's a bit late to correct it. I was still in breech position at 31 weeks, and the doctor told me to follow the position she taught, kneeling for 15 minutes every morning and evening. It corrected it in 10 days, and now the baby is in head position. I am now 35 weeks. You cannot decide whether the fetal position is correct or not. If the baby is naughty and moves a lot, the fetal position will easily change. It’s not a big deal if the fetus is in an abnormal position at 25 weeks.

Occipital posterior position: The occipital position of the fetal head is in the posterior half of the maternal pelvis, with the fetal face facing up. Since the fetal head cannot be properly embedded in the lower part of the uterus, the labor process will be prolonged. Facial position: The presenting part of the fetus is the chin. Because the fetal head is fully extended, the occipital bone behind the fetal head is close to the fetal back. The fetal mouth, chin, nose, eyes and other facial organs can be felt during intravaginal examination. The incidence rate is about 0.2-0.3%. Facial position often occurs in fetuses that are too small, or when the fetus is too large and out of proportion to the size of the mother's pelvis, so that the fetal head cannot flex properly; it is also prone to occur when there is an abnormality in the fetus's neck, such as a tumor.

This is an introduction to the self-test method for malposition of the fetus. It should be noted that self-test is not an accurate examination method. It can only preliminarily diagnose malposition of the fetus. If you want to confirm the diagnosis, you still need to go to the hospital for a detailed examination. Do a good job of prenatal examination, so that you can detect malposition of the fetus in advance and take timely correction measures, so that you will not be caught off guard during delivery.
