What is vaginal bleeding?

The problem of vaginal bleeding has become a big problem that many of our female friends are particularly disgusted with. Many female friends think that this situation involves personal privacy and are unwilling to receive treatment. As a result, the condition continues to worsen and may cause vaginitis problems ourselves. Let us explain in detail what vaginal bleeding is.

1. Bleeding from urethral caruncle: The urethral caruncle is a benign polyp-like tissue that grows at the female urethral opening. It is bright red in color, brittle and soft in texture, and will bleed with the slightest touch.

2. Bleeding from cervical polyps: Cervicitis polyps are caused by chronic inflammation, which causes local hyperplasia of the cervical mucosa and gradually protrudes toward the external os. It is bright red, soft and fragile, rich in blood vessels, and can be easily scratched by the penis during sexual intercourse, causing a small amount of bright red bleeding.

3. Cervical cancer bleeding: Cervical cancer accounts for more than half of female reproductive malignant tumors. The mortality rate ranks first or second among female malignant tumors, and the most common age is 36 to 50 years old. Its early symptoms are: a small amount of vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse, which is bright red, painless, and does not mix with the semen flowing out of the vagina, accompanied by an increase in leucorrhea with a slightly fishy odor. Therefore, middle-aged women aged 36 to 50 should undergo a gynecological examination in a timely manner if they experience the above symptoms. The examination for cervical cancer is simple, easy and painless. It only requires a cervical smear biopsy in the outpatient clinic and the diagnosis can be confirmed within a week. Early detection of cervical cancer is of great significance for treatment.

4. Bleeding from sexually transmitted diseases: If a small amount of bright red vaginal bleeding occurs after sexual intercourse, and if the female has recent vulvar itching, small wart-like growths on the vulva or vaginal wall, and the male has similar growths on the glans penis and foreskin, genital warts should be considered.

Knowing what causes vaginal bleeding will help us take targeted measures for treatment. When having sex in daily life, do not use excessive force, otherwise it may cause bleeding in the membranes on both sides of our vagina. We must master scientific knowledge and methods in daily life and not have sex blindly.
