Why do pregnant women have pimples under their armpits?

If a woman develops lumps under her armpits after childbirth, they are likely accessory breasts, which is actually a manifestation of abnormal breast development. The skin pigmentation in the area of the accessory breast is often darker. The growth of accessory breasts after childbirth will make it inconvenient for women to move their arms, and the repeated friction between the accessory breasts and the arms can easily cause rashes. The incidence rate of this condition is about 6%, and accessory breast also has a great impact on our body.

Some women may find that they have unexpectedly developed lumps in their armpits that are soft and cottony. Breast tenderness before or during menstruation, pain and lumps in the armpits, and even being mistaken for "lumps" in the breasts that have moved to the armpits. In fact, it may be the breast's sidekick. Accessory breasts usually develop in adulthood, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and are only noticeable in some people after the age of 40.

Accessory breasts come from the uterus. In the sixth week of human embryogenesis, when the embryo is just a little more than a centimeter tall, the ectoderm cells on the ventral side of its trunk thicken to form a ridge, which is equivalent to the groin and axillary arc connecting these two stripe-like protrusions called the raw milk line, and there are also many mammary gland rudiments. Because people usually only give birth to one child or twins at birth, they do not need a large number of breasts, so there is only a pair of mammary gland rudiments in the chest that continue to develop and nipple buds are formed. During the third month, the embryo forms mammary ducts. The remainder of the mammary primordium generally regresses by the ninth week of embryogenesis. If the breasts are not completely degraded, then extra breasts will form after birth, which is medically known as accessory breasts or breast disease.

The influence of accessory breasts on our body is not small. If female friends grow accessory breasts, there is a certain possibility that they will evolve into a small number, and the growth of accessory breasts is affected by sex hormones. The growth of accessory breasts after childbirth will affect the secretion of milk and greatly increase the risk of women suffering from lobular hyperplasia of the breast or mastitis.
