How long does menopause last for women?

When women reach a certain age, they will enter menopause. Menopause is more difficult for women because during menopause, women will experience menopause and become easily irritable. This is a process in which the female gonadal function gradually weakens, and the secretion of ovarian hormones will also decrease. Therefore, women will age faster when they reach menopause. So how long does menopause last for women?

Since the transition of gonadal function from maturity to decline occurs gradually, it is difficult to be sure when menopause begins, but when the ovarian endocrine hormones decrease to a certain level, women will no longer menstruate. Even though there are often irregular menstruation before menopause, it is now generally recognized that natural menopause occurs when a woman naturally stops having menstruation for one year. Although it cannot be said that there are no such cases where a woman suddenly has her period again one year after amenorrhea, or even becomes pregnant, it is rare.

Except for some diseases that require surgery or radiotherapy to terminate ovarian function, menopausal changes usually occur before menopause; after menopause, some menopausal symptoms may continue for a period of time. This makes it difficult to accurately grasp clinically, so we can only estimate a person's menopause start time based on her age at menopause. Strictly speaking, the time when each person starts menopause may vary slightly due to differences in region, climate, race, economy, nutrition, age of menarche, marriage and childbirth history, and contraceptive methods.

On the other hand, some records in Western history show that although the age of menopause in women has been slightly delayed, the change is not particularly large. Before the Common Era, women entered menopause at an average age of 40 to 50 years old, 35 to 60 years old in the Middle Ages, and currently in Western countries it is generally 42 to 58 years old. In 1980, my country conducted a survey of more than 130,000 women in 29 provinces and cities. The age of natural menopause was between 42 and 58 years old, with an average of 49.5 years old. Of course, there were some women who went into menopause as early as 39 and as late as 60 years old. An earlier or later age of menopause should be noted until no other abnormalities are found.

The above article introduces the duration of menopause for some women. Everyone’s physique is different, the duration of menopause is also different, and the age of entering menopause is also different. Through proper conditioning, menopause can be delayed. Diet conditioning combined with proper exercise can postpone menopause. And also keep your mood happy.
