Not only does it have a great impact on yourself, but your family members are also worried. In fact, there are ways to alleviate dysmenorrhea. Diet and massaging the correct acupoints are effective. So, which acupoints should be massaged to relieve dysmenorrhea?

Which acupoints should be massaged for dysmenorrhea

There are many reasons for dysmenorrhea. Mental factors, physical diseases and cold stimulation can all cause dysmenorrhea. When we regulate the condition, we need to combine the patient's cause and make targeted adjustments. Massaging acupoints can effectively relieve dysmenorrhea. You can try it.

1. Preparation: Lie flat on the bed, close your eyes slightly, breathe evenly, overlap your left palm on the back of your right hand, gently place the palm of your right hand on your lower abdomen, and lie quietly for 1-3 minutes.

2. Massage the lower abdomen. Place the palm of your left hand on the back of your right hand, and then place the palm of your right hand on your lower abdomen. Apply appropriate force and massage in a circular motion in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction for 1-3 minutes, until the skin becomes warm.

3. Massage around the navel. Place your left palm on the back of your right hand, and place the palm of your right hand under your navel. Apply appropriate force and massage the abdomen around the navel in a clockwise direction for 1-3 minutes, until the abdomen feels warm.

4. Rub and press the Guanyuan point. Half-clench your right fist, straighten your thumb, place the tip of your thumb on the Guanyuan point, and rub and press with appropriate force for 0.5-1 minute.

5. Rub the lumbar sacral area. Place your palms on both sides of the lumbar sacral area, and rub the lumbar sacral area vigorously from top to bottom for 0.5-1 minute. It is best if the waist feels warm. 6. Rub the Shenshu point. Put your hands on your waist, press your thumb on the Shenshu point on the same side, and place the other four fingers on your waist. Rub with appropriate force for 0.5-1 minute. 7. Press and rub the Zusanli point. Overlap the index finger and middle finger of one hand, place the tip of the middle finger on the Zusanli point on the same side, and press and rub with appropriate force for 0.5-1 minute. Alternate between the lower limbs. 8. Rub the Xuehai point with your palms. Place the palms of both hands on the Xuehai point on the same side and rub with appropriate force for 0.5-1 minute. Alternate between the lower limbs.

Massaging these acupoints during the non-menstrual period can prevent the occurrence of dysmenorrhea. If these acupoints are treated with moxibustion, the effect will be better. During treatment, patients with dysmenorrhea should pay attention to keeping warm, avoid eating raw or cold food; maintain emotional stability and a happy spirit; have a reasonable and balanced diet and a regular life; and exercise moderately.
