Is it easy to cure chronic cervicitis in women?

When women learn that they have chronic cervicitis, they will initially follow the doctor's advice for treatment. However, after treatment, they will find that the disease will recur. Some patients will have more serious conditions, which will lead to doubts about the treatment of the disease. So is it easy to treat chronic cervicitis in women? In fact, this disease is very easy to treat. In addition to using professional treatment, the treatment of the disease must also pay attention to diet, hygiene and other aspects of care. The following will explain the treatment of chronic cervicitis.

1. Physical therapy

(1) Electrocogulation: This method is relatively simple and is suitable for cases with deeper erosion and larger erosion area. After treatment, there will be vaginal discharge, which may be purulent and foul. Sexual intercourse should be avoided until the wound is completely healed, which takes about 6 weeks. Vaginal bleeding may sometimes be excessive, accounting for about 5%, and usually occurs about 2 weeks after electric ironing. If the bleeding is heavy, gauze can be used to pack and stop the bleeding. Cervical occlusion is caused by the contraction of fibrous tissue and the growth of squamous epithelial cells after electric ironing. It can dilate the cervix and prevent menstrual blood from stagnation.

(2) Laser therapy: Use CO2 laser to treat erosions, carbonizing and forming scabs in the eroded tissue. After the scabs fall off, the wound surface is covered by new epithelium. Efficacy: The cure rate of mild erosion is 100%, the cure rate of moderate erosion is 96.4%, and the cure rate of severe erosion is 95.3%. No cancer cells were found in the reexamination of cervical scrapings, and the epithelium of cured cases was smooth. Therefore, laser treatment of cervical erosion is highly effective.

2. Drug treatment

(1) Vaginal flushing: You can use 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution to flush the vagina before applying the medicine.

(2) Topical medication:

① After vaginal douching, you can use a cotton swab dipped in 10% to 20% silver nitrate and apply it to the eroded surface. Apply the medicine once a week, 2 to 4 times per course of treatment. After applying the medicine, gently wipe the area with a cotton ball with physiological saline. This method is simple and suitable for grassroots units. Currently, this method is no longer used in larger hospitals.

② Potassium dichromate solution. This medicine is made by adding 5g of potassium dichromate to 100ml of sulfuric acid. The liquid medicine is a strong oxidant and corrosive astringent, which has the effect of sterilization and detumescence. Use a small cotton swab to dip the liquid medicine and apply it evenly to the eroded surface. The application range should exceed 0.5cm of the eroded surface. After applying the medicine, the eroded surface turns white. After 1 to 2 minutes, use 75% alcohol to wipe off the excess potassium dichromate solution on the surface of the cervix.

3. Immunotherapy

Some scholars have reported that 406 cases of chronic cervicitis were treated with the red Nocardia actinomycetes cell wall skeleton N-CWs vaccine, and it is believed that this vaccine has nonspecific immune enhancement and anti-inflammatory and cancer control functions. This vaccine was extracted from the Liaoning Basic Medical Research Institute. The vaccine was dripped onto a sterile cotton ball with a tail soaked in physiological saline, 200 μg each time, and then the cotton ball was placed on the local cervical erosion and removed after 24 hours. The medicine was applied twice a week and 10 times per course of treatment. After one course of treatment, the cure rate reached 76.6%, the effective rate reached 16.8%, and the total effective rate reached 93.4%. It is believed that this vaccine can promote squamous metaplasia, repair cervical erosion, and regulate immune function.

Is it easy to treat chronic cervicitis in women? This disease is easy to treat, but due to some reasons, the treatment progress is slow and the recurrence rate after treatment increases. In fact, as long as patients control hygiene, diet, etc. in a conventional way and pay attention to the choice of treatment methods, the development and deterioration of chronic cervicitis can be controlled. After treatment, preventive care for the disease should be carried out to avoid further attacks of the disease and reduce damage to the cervix.
