Why is my period black?

Many women find that their menstrual blood is darker during menstruation, and sometimes even black. The main reason for this is that women's blood stagnates in the uterus for a long time. Generally speaking, it happens when female patients eat some relatively cold food during menstruation, or catch a cold during menstruation. If the patient does not receive timely treatment, the menstrual volume may decrease. In severe cases, amenorrhea may also occur. Therefore, female patients must pay attention to their own care during menstruation. Don't drink cold water and don't touch anything cold. Keep a happy mood.

Black menstruation is caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis, and menstrual blood accumulates in the uterus for a long time. The black color will appear in the following situations: 1. Black menstruation due to qi and blood deficiency: the menstrual cycle is advanced or delayed, the menstrual volume increases or decreases, the menstrual period is prolonged, the color is light, and the quality is thin. Or there is pain in the lower abdomen, or dizziness, or fatigue, pale or sallow complexion, poor appetite and loose stools. The tongue is light red and the pulse is thready and weak. 2. Cold blood causes black menstruation: delayed menstruation, less menstruation, dark color and blood clots. Cold pain in the lower abdomen, relieved by heat, fear of cold and cold limbs. The tongue coating is white and the pulse is deep and tight. Treatment should be based on warming the meridians and dispersing cold. 3. Black menstruation due to kidney deficiency: the menstrual cycle is irregular, the amount of menstruation is small, the color is light red or dark red, and the quality is thin. Weak waist and knees, heel pain, dizziness, tinnitus, or cold lower abdomen, or frequent urination at night. The tongue is pale, and the pulse is weak or slow. Treatment is suitable for tonifying the kidney and regulating menstruation.

If a female patient experiences dark menstrual blood during menstruation, she must pay attention to self-regulation. First of all, patients should maintain a good attitude in daily life, pay attention to the hygiene of the perineum, and prevent perineum infection. In addition, do not eat irritating foods, drink more boiled water, change underwear in time, and disinfect used underwear. When female patients experience dark menstrual blood, they must pay attention to early treatment to prevent further changes.
