Signs of red vaginal discharge after menstruation

As adolescents grow physically, around the age of 12, boys and girls will experience significantly different secondary sexual development, and the Adam's apple in boys will begin to grow. Short light beard begins to appear on the face, and pubic hair begins to grow in private areas such as the armpits. At the same time, it will be accompanied by the arrival of the first nocturnal emission. Although it is strange, it will not cause much trouble. The appearance of menarche, which is accompanied by the secondary sexual development of women, will cause panic and fear in most women, and as they grow older. However, situations such as red vaginal discharge after menstruation do not attract much attention from women.

In fact, women can judge their own physical condition by judging the difference in the color of leucorrhea. Is your vaginal discharge normal in color?

1. Watery leucorrhea: Continuous discharge of watery leucorrhea like rice washing water with a peculiar odor is generally caused by advanced cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, or submucosal fibroids with infection. If you have intermittent discharge of yellow or red watery vaginal discharge, you should be aware of the possibility of fallopian tube cancer.

2. Curd-like leucorrhea: It is a characteristic of candidal vaginitis, often accompanied by severe vulvar itching or burning pain.

3. Bloody leucorrhea: If there is blood mixed in the leucorrhea, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, cervical polyps or submucosal fibroids should be considered. Insertion of an intrauterine device can also cause bloody leucorrhea.

4. Gray, homogeneous leucorrhea with a fishy smell: common in bacterial vaginosis.

5. Purulent leucorrhea: yellow or yellow-green in color, sticky, and often smelly. It can be caused by acute vaginitis, cervicitis, and endocervicitis caused by bacteria such as Trichomonas or gonococci. Pyometra, cervical cancer, vaginal cancer or foreign objects retained in the vagina can also cause pus-like leucorrhea.

6. White or grayish yellow foamy leucorrhea: a characteristic of Trichomonas vaginitis, which may be accompanied by vulvar itching.

7. Colorless, transparent, sticky leucorrhea: It is egg white-like and similar in properties to the mucus secreted by the cervical glands during ovulation, but the amount is significantly increased. Generally, the possibility of chronic endocervicitis, ovarian dysfunction, vaginal adenosis, or well-differentiated cervical adenocarcinoma should be considered.

Therefore, most of women's gynecological diseases can be predicted in advance by the color of their own leucorrhea. When they find that their leucorrhea is red at the end of menstruation and other conditions are consistent with the above conditions, they can seek medical treatment calmly without panic. This reduces and prevents further deterioration of gynecological and other cases, so that when a real case occurs, the best time for diagnosis is missed, resulting in lifelong regret.
