Does two lines on the pregnancy test mean that you are pregnant?

There is a group of poor women who do not pursue perfect brand-name bags or perfect expensive accessories. They work hard just to get those two bars on the pregnancy test paper. This group of women want the brief 10 days after ovulation every month. The small early pregnancy test paper carries all their expectations! Either they are secretly worried when there is one bar, or they cheer when there are two bars.

Does two lines on the pregnancy test mean that you are pregnant?

90% of the time, you are pregnant, and 10% may be positive. A positive result also needs further examination, because the positive result may be related to some medicines you use, or some tumors that metabolize HCG may cause a positive early pregnancy test. Generally, two bars indicate a greater possibility of pregnancy, and you can test again. It is best to go to the hospital for a blood test to confirm whether you are pregnant. Whether you need further testing or choose to give up, you should have further blood tests to confirm, and do B-ultrasound to confirm if necessary.

Why are early pregnancy test strips banned?

1. Storage time and location: If a woman wants to test whether she is pregnant, but the test paper she buys has been stored for too long (more than 1 year), or is not stored properly, frozen or allowed to get damp, it may become invalid, and the result may be inaccurate, resulting in a false negative test result.

2. A positive result does not necessarily mean pregnancy: In addition to the reproductive cells after pregnancy that can secrete HCG, some tumor cells such as hydatidiform mole, choriocarcinoma, bronchial carcinoma and renal cancer can also secrete HCG. For example, patients with endometrial hyperplasia may have a positive urine HCG test.

3. Pregnancy is too short: If pregnancy has just begun, or there is an ectopic pregnancy, the body's HCG level is generally slightly low. The urine to be tested needs to be left for more than 3 minutes (usually only 1 minute). Be sure to carefully distinguish whether there is a weak positive test area with a color band that only appears faintly.

4. Extreme conditions: such as hydatidiform mole and choriocarcinoma, the body's HCG level will be too high and the urine test may not show a positive result.
