Introduction to women's menstrual cycle

Menstruation is something every woman has to go through, but how much do you know about women’s menstrual cycle? Presumably, many friends still don’t understand it very well. In order to help everyone understand menstruation, relevant experts suggest that everyone must learn more about it, so that they can fully understand women’s own bodies and have sufficient knowledge of the physiological phenomenon of menstruation. Let’s take a look at the relevant introduction below.

The menstrual cycle, also known as the menstrual period or physiological period, is a physiological cycle in primates and humans, and in other mammals it is the estrus cycle.

Primates and humans are different from other species. Compared with other female animals that have obvious external signs during ovulation, the appearance changes of chimpanzees and women during ovulation are quite subtle. A woman may feel her ovulation, but it is difficult for others to identify it. This is called latent ovulation. This feature has sociobiological significance. In contrast, other species often sense information through heat. Great apes and orangutans are the only mammals besides humans to have cryptic ovulation.

Normal menstrual period time:

Under normal circumstances, the menstrual cycle is 28 to 35 days. The length of the menstrual cycle varies from person to person. 7 to 10 days early or late can be considered within the normal range. As long as a certain regularity can be maintained, it cannot be considered as irregular menstruation.

Calculate the time of menstruation:

A complete menstrual cycle starts from the first day of menstruation and ends on the first day of the next menstruation. Generally, this cycle is calculated as one month, but in fact it varies from person to person. The first day of bleeding is the beginning of the menstrual cycle, and the interval between the first days of two menstruations is called the menstrual cycle. Therefore, the calculation of the menstrual cycle should include the time of menstruation.

I believe that after the above introduction, everyone will have a clearer understanding of women's menstrual cycle. This is the end of the introduction to women's menstrual cycle. I hope everyone can learn more about the relevant knowledge and have a clear understanding of their physical condition. If you find any abnormal conditions, you must go to a regular hospital for treatment in time.
