What is uterine discharge

The uterus is a unique reproductive organ in the female body. However, due to some improper living habits of women and lack of attention to body hygiene, they are particularly prone to some diseases. Once the uterus forms secretions, it means that the uterus is inflamed or has some diseases. If not treated in time, it may affect the female's fertility. However, many women often do not understand uterine secretions. Let's learn about what uterine secretions are.

What is uterine discharge

Cervical secretion is a thick, transparent, viscous, egg white-like secretion produced by the endometrial glands. It is usually alkaline, and its viscosity and secretion volume also change with the level of estrogen in the body. During ovulation, estrogen levels are high and cervical secretions are abundant and thin, which facilitates the passage of sperm.

The endometrium and fallopian tube lining can also secrete a small amount of fluid into the vagina, which is also a clear, alkaline, watery fluid.

Women have a certain amount of leucorrhea from puberty until menopause. This is a normal physiological phenomenon that has a moisturizing and self-cleansing effect on the vagina.

Normal leucorrhea has a small amount, does not flow out in waves, does not cause itching in the vulva, is white or grayish white in color, and has no strange smell; sometimes there is transparent mucous leucorrhea, which is the secretion of the cervical canal. Under normal circumstances, there are times when the amount of leucorrhea increases. For example, after menstruation during puberty, the reproductive organs are close to those of adults, the blood vessels in the uterus and vagina increase and thicken, the blood supply is sufficient, the secretions increase slightly, and they flow into the vagina and become leucorrhea. Before the next menstruation and in the middle of the menstrual period close to ovulation, due to the vigorous secretion of the endocervical glandular cells, the clear mucus of the cervix is the main component, and the amount of leucorrhea will increase. After pregnancy, due to higher estrogen levels, vaginal mucosal exudate and cervical mucus increase, and leucorrhea increases. When the body is weak, has too much sexual intercourse, or has constipation, the genitals may become locally congested and the amount of leucorrhea may increase.

The above is an introduction to what uterine secretions are. After understanding it, we know that once secretions appear in the uterus, we must pay great attention to it. In addition, women must observe their leucorrhea more often. If there is any abnormal leucorrhea, they must go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. In addition, in order to avoid the occurrence of some gynecological diseases, female friends must pay more attention to their private hygiene, wear comfortable underwear, and change underwear frequently.
