What is facial fat grafting?

In order to make their bodies more proportional, people nowadays transfer fat from obese parts of the body to their faces through surgery, thus achieving a younger look. Facial autologous fat filling is suitable for those with mild facial depression. If the facial depression is severe, prosthetic filling is suitable. Generally, such surgery can be performed on cases with sunken temporal area (temple), sunken cheek, bilateral facial asymmetry, thin earlobes, etc.

1. Temporal filling: In the past, solid silicone blocks were used for filling, which may cause difficulties and pain in chewing and biting. Choosing to inject autologous fat into the temporal area will not affect or change the function of tissues or organs. Generally, the needle is inserted 1-1.5cm behind the hairline during this surgery. After the operation, there is only a small needle hole and no obvious scar. But be careful not to wash your hair or massage it vigorously within a week.

2. Cheek filling: Cheek filling is also known as cheek augmentation. Through facial filling, the face shape becomes rounder, softer and younger. The injection point can be selected in a hidden place. There will be a slight swelling in the local area after the injection. Take antibiotics orally for 5 days after the operation. After one week, gently massage the face with your palm.

3. Chin filling: Chin filling is also called chin augmentation or chin augmentation. For chin augmentation by injection, you can choose to insert the needle into the oral mucosa or a fixed point outside the chin. After the autologous fat injection, take oral antibiotics and do not massage for two weeks.
