Is the decline in ovarian function really related to the age of the pregnant mother?

Is the decline in ovarian function really related to the age of the pregnant mother?

I have been infertile for several years due to ovarian dysfunction. Can I go for IVF? Are there any signs of ovarian dysfunction?

The signs of ovarian dysfunction can be judged from two aspects:

External manifestations

Ovarian function gradually declines. Generally, there are no obvious discomfort symptoms in the early stage, but the menstrual volume will gradually decrease. Especially after middle-aged women, the ovarian function begins to decline. Due to the decrease in the number of ovulations, the level of hormone secretion decreases, and even menstruation stops, other sexual characteristics degenerate, and the internal and external genitals shrink. Women also gradually lose their former youthful brilliance, mainly manifested in the following characteristics:

1. The skin is dry, dull, prone to acne, and has chloasma and other signs of aging.

2. Changes in body shape, menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea, increased leucorrhea, foreign matter in secretions, and endocrine disorders.

3. Emotions are easily unstable and irritable and angry.

4. The symptoms of perimenopausal syndrome include: palpitations, shortness of breath, hot flashes, sweating, irritability, insomnia, forgetfulness, and suspicion.

Judgment of physiological indicators

The confirmation of ovarian function decline also requires testing of some physiological indicators, such as AMH value, FSH follicle-stimulating hormone, basal antral follicle number, etc.

Age is closely related to ovarian reserve function. Ovarian function gradually declines with age, and after the age of 38, ovarian reserve function declines rapidly. If you seize the time and there are still eggs in the ovaries, IVF treatment can have a chance of success.
