▼ Those with a family history of premature cardiovascular disease refer to male first-degree relatives suffering from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease before the age of 55 or female first-degree relatives before the age of 65, or patients with familial hyperlipidemia;

Xanthomas of the skin or tendons and thickening of the Achilles tendon.

Adults over 40 should have their blood lipids tested at least once a year.

Children and adolescents should be checked out if they have any of the following:

▼ Parents with TC (cholesterol) ≥ 6.2 mmol/L or a known history of lipid abnormalities;

▼ There are skin xanthomas or tendon xanthomas or lipid corneal arcus;

▼ Have diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity (2-8 years old), or be overweight (12-16 years old), or smoke;

▼ For those suspected of having familial hypercholesterolemia, genetic screening for dyslipidemia should be performed.
