Thigh pain during pregnancy

Thigh pain during pregnancy

Pregnancy is very difficult for women. Some pregnant women have obvious pregnancy reactions, such as dizziness and nausea. Some pregnant women feel pain in the groin during the late stages of pregnancy. When this happens, they worry about whether it will have a negative impact on the baby. So, what is the reason for thigh pain in the ninth month of pregnancy?

The main reasons for thigh pain during the ninth month of pregnancy are:

1. Calcium deficiency in pregnant women causes sensitivity of foot bones;

2. The baby in the pregnant woman's belly is growing bigger and bigger, which compresses the veins under the abdomen, resulting in poor blood circulation in the feet;

3. Because of the baby in the belly, the center of gravity of pregnant women subconsciously shifts, and the pelvis also extends forward. The long-term bearing force is concentrated on the back of the intervertebral disc, causing leg pain.

Ways to relieve leg pain during pregnancy:

1. Eat as many calcium-containing foods as possible, such as eggs, dairy products, bean products, etc.;

2. Eat a balanced diet, and take calcium tablets and vitamins for pregnant women in time while taking food supplements to promote their absorption of calcium;

3. Pay attention to arrange time reasonably, avoid excessive exercise, and stretch your lower limbs when sleeping at night;

4. Carry out outdoor activities appropriately, exercise thigh muscles, do more foot massages, and promote blood circulation;

If I feel pain in my inner thighs during my 9th month of pregnancy, does that mean I am about to give birth?

The ninth month of pregnancy is already the 36th week of gestation. In fact, from the 37th week of pregnancy, it is considered full-term, and the newborn is considered a full-term baby. Therefore, during the ninth month of pregnancy, the mother needs to be ready for delivery at any time.

However, in the 9th month of pregnancy, pain in the inner thigh is not a sign of childbirth. In the ninth month of pregnancy, pregnant women may experience pain in the inner thighs due to the expansion of the fetus, the enlargement of the uterus, the heavier body, and the sinking of the fetus, which is pressed on the toes. At the same time, the toes are separated, causing pain in the base of the thighs. This kind of pain is a physiological manifestation. After the mother gives birth, the pain will subside automatically, so there is no need to take any treatment measures.

At this time, if pain occurs on the inner thigh, the mother needs to change her sleeping position. It is best to choose the sleeping position where the pregnant woman sleeps on her left side. If conditions permit, you can choose a pregnancy pillow to improve your sleeping posture and ensure that your sleeping posture is more comfortable.
