What causes abdominal pain after childbirth?

Lower abdominal pain is a very common clinical manifestation in women. There are many reasons that can cause lower abdominal pain in women. The more common reasons are the following: uterine contractions, especially when there is blood and pus accumulation in the uterine cavity, women will feel lower abdominal pain; chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, pelvic congestion syndrome, women may also experience lower abdominal pain; cervical inflammation, if the inflammation invades the sacral tendon, women will also feel back pain and lower abdominal pain.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, lower abdominal pain can be divided into two categories: real and false. False is mainly due to Qi deficiency. Qi has the functions of consolidating and lifting. If Qi is deficient, the Qi wheel cannot lift and consolidate, and some women will experience lower abdominal pain, and the symptoms will be more obvious after fatigue. There is a type of solid disease, which is mainly related to dampness and turbidity. Water flows downwards, and dampness and turbidity also have the characteristic of flowing downwards. If it stays in the Chong and Ren meridians of women, it will cause blood and Qi circulation in the Chong and Ren meridians to be blocked, and women will feel lower abdominal pain.

Abdominal pain is a very complicated disease. Lower abdominal pain refers to the pain feeling of falling downwards in the abdomen below the belly button. Lower abdominal pain may be related to diseases of many systems.

First of all, if there is constipation in the digestive tract, difficulty in defecation, or partial obstruction of the stomach and intestines, lower abdominal pain may also occur.

Secondly, if the lower abdominal pain is accompanied by discomfort in urination, such as frequent urination, urgency, inability to hold urine, and pain when urinating, in this case, you need to highly suspect whether there is a disease of the genitourinary system. For example, cystitis and ureteral stones may cause similar lower abdominal pain.

Then, urinary system diseases, such as whether a woman is in her menstrual period or ovulation period, and whether there is inflammation of the pelvis, bilateral fallopian tubes, uterus and ovaries, can also cause lower abdominal pain. At this time, there may also be some abnormal female secretions. Therefore, lower abdominal pain should also be seen to see if there are other symptoms combined to help us better identify the cause.
