Urinating pain and feeling of inability to urinate

Urinating pain and feeling of inability to urinate

After urinating, you always feel that your urine is not complete and there will be pain. This symptom belongs to incomplete urination and painful urination, which is a very common typical symptom of urinary and reproductive system infection. Urethritis and cystitis are common in women and are caused by bacterial infection. The most common one is Escherichia coli. Antibiotics can be used for treatment, such as levofloxacin, ceftriaxone, cefuroxime, etc. Generally, a follow-up urine routine test is sufficient after taking it for 3 to 5 days. During the treatment period, drink plenty of water and maintain adequate urination.

1. Incomplete urination refers to the feeling of bladder distension, urgency to urinate, and the distension cannot be relieved after urination. It is also accompanied by symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, inability to hold urine, painful urination, and white discharge from the urethra. In medicine, this condition is called "urinary incontinence", and a quantitative index has been developed to diagnose this disease: 1000-200ml of urination per day, 4-6 times during the day, and 0-2 times at night. Anything beyond this range can be determined as unclean urine.

2. The possible reasons are as follows: Inflammation and irritation. When there is inflammation in the bladder, the threshold of the nerves will decrease and the urinary sensory nerve center will be in an excited state, resulting in incomplete urination and decreased urination (<300-500ml/time for adults). Therefore, incontinence is a key symptom of cystitis, especially in acute cystitis and tuberculous cystitis. Others, such as prostatitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, chronic balanoposthitis in children, vulvitis, etc. can all cause urinary incontinence. Under the stimulation of inflammation, incomplete urination, inability to hold urine, and painful urination often occur at the same time, which is called urinary tract irritation syndrome, also known as "triuria syndrome".

3. Non-inflammatory irritants, such as urethral stones and foreign bodies, are generally manifested by urinary incontinence. Reduced bladder capacity, such as space-occupying bladder, compression of the enlarged uterus during pregnancy, tuberculous bladder muscle atrophy, or large bladder stones.

4. Psychological incontinence. Incontinence only occurs during the day or before going to sleep at night. It is often caused by tension and anxiety or is common in patients with hysteria. This may also be accompanied by difficulty holding urine and painful urination. Incomplete urination is the feeling of having to urinate all the time but being unable to urinate (because there is no urine). It is a symptom of excessive tension in the urinary system. It is most common in urethritis, of course gynecological inflammation, and irritation of the urethra. First of all, a routine urine test should be done.

What are the symptoms of urethritis in women?

1. Polyuria. In the early stage of chronic renal failure caused by chronic pyelonephritis, there may be polyuria, while in the middle and late stages, there may be oliguria or anuria. Abnormal urination, typical symptoms are inability to hold urine, painful urination, frequent urination and urgency, and rarely urinary incontinence or urine retention.

2. Abnormalities in urine. Urinary tract infection can cause abnormal changes in urine, including bacterial urine, pyuria, hematuria, and hematuria. Frequent urination, incomplete urination, frequent urination, urgency and inability to hold urine are more prominent, urinating 1 to 2 times per hour, or even more than 5 times, there is a burning sensation in the urethra when urinating, and the amount of urine each time is very small. There may be lower abdominal pain at the end of urination, and sometimes blood in the urine. There are usually no obvious systemic infection symptoms, but very few patients may have low back pain and low fever.
