What causes abdominal pain during ovulation?

We all know about menstrual pain, which can be divided into primary and secondary. In fact, there is also a kind of pain that is physiological pain for women, but few women know about this kind of pain. Because this type of pain is not common in every woman and is not easy to detect, it is often considered to be pain of other characteristics, which is women's ovulation pain.

Ovulation abdominal pain is a multi-functional abdominal pain. It is a normal phenomenon and will not cause any physiological symptoms. The pain often occurs in the middle of two menstrual cycles. For example, for women with a 28-day menstrual cycle, abdominal pain usually occurs about 14 days before the next menstruation, which is equivalent to the time of ovulation, hence the name.

Abdominal pain is usually in the lower abdomen on one side. The pain is not severe and is dull, aching or weighed. It is often not a concern for women and is not likely to cause serious harm. This type of pain will last for about half a day to a day and then subside on its own. Therefore, women usually don't care. Even if they know they have abdominal pain, they just endure it and it will pass. Ovulation abdominal pain is a physiological abdominal pain, which is the same as female primary menstrual pain. The difference is that this kind of pain is caused by the rupture of the follicles in the female uterus and ovaries during ovulation and the stimulation of the retroperitoneum by the ovulation egg fluid. Therefore, the abdominal pain is relatively mild. Primary menstrual pain is caused by the contraction of the endometrium as it is shed. Normally, the two ovaries in a woman's body take turns to ovulate, and ovulate once a month. Therefore, abdominal pain occurs cyclically once a month, usually alternating between the left and right lower abdomen.

When patients with ovulatory abdominal pain see their doctors, they are completely normal during routine gynecological examinations. Without any physiological changes, as women age, the frequency of ovulation increases, and many people need to slowly adapt. Because the causes of abdominal pain are varied and vary greatly, ranging from intestinal spasms after catching a cold drink to malignant tumors in the digestive tract. Therefore, the diagnosis of abdominal pain needs to be confirmed through careful and regular examinations.

If it is confirmed to be ovulation abdominal pain, when a small number of women with sensitive nerves have obvious abdominal pain, they can take some painkillers to relieve the pain.
