What causes dizziness, nausea and vomiting during menstruation?

When women reach their physiological period, they will experience various discomforts in their bodies, and their tempers may even become irritable and they will be prone to losing their temper. Male friends say that women during their menstrual period are simply devils. It cannot be denied that the menstrual period is the weakest time of the month for women. Some women even feel particularly nauseous and want to vomit during their menstrual period, and are very worried that there is something major wrong with their bodies. Let’s take a closer look at what causes dizziness, nausea and vomiting during menstruation, and see what measures should be taken to solve it.

If the menstrual blood volume is heavy and the menstrual period is long, hemorrhagic anemia may occur, leading to dizziness and discomfort. Therefore, you should strengthen your diet during menstruation and take Chinese patent medicines orally to replenish qi and blood. It is recommended to go to the hospital for examinations, such as blood routine, blood sugar, trace elements, etc., and receive appropriate treatment after diagnosis. Eat regularly, eat a comprehensive diet, and avoid being picky about food. Pay attention to exercise and improve your physical fitness.

Eat a reasonable diet, have a balanced diet, supplement your body with enough food, exercise appropriately, persist in doing so over a long period of time, adjust your mindset, avoid excessive stress, develop good habits, and promote recovery to a healthy state. If a woman has excessive menstrual bleeding and experiences dizziness, it may be related to anemia. In addition, it may also be autonomic nervous system disorder caused by mental stress, one manifestation of which is orthostatic hypotension. Hypoglycemia is also a common condition that causes dizziness in women during menstruation.

What to do when you feel dizzy during menstruation

1. Keep warm and avoid cold stimulation: such as swimming, cold water baths, going into paddy fields, etc. If you are exposed to sudden and excessive cold stimulation during menstruation, it may cause too little menstrual blood or dysmenorrhea.

2. Avoid overwork, do not eat raw, cold, spicy, alcoholic and other irritating foods, drink more boiled water, keep bowel movements smooth, reduce pelvic congestion, pay attention to proper rest and maintain adequate sleep.

Symptoms of anemia

Cardiovascular system manifestations: Palpitations and shortness of breath after physical activity are the most common symptoms. When anemia is severe or there is heart failure, palpitations and shortness of breath may occur even when resting. Patients with coronary artery disease may experience angina pectoris. Some patients do not usually suffer from angina pectoris, but angina pectoris may occur due to anemia which aggravates the degree of myocardial ischemia.

Neurological manifestations: When anemia is severe, neurological symptoms are also common, especially in elderly patients. Common symptoms include dizziness, headache, tinnitus, sleepiness, difficulty concentrating, slow reaction, numbness in hands and feet, chills or tingling. Severe anemia may cause fainting. If anemia occurs suddenly, the patient often becomes irritable and restless.

Digestive system manifestations: Loss of appetite is one of the most common symptoms. Abdominal bloating, discomfort in the epigastric area, nausea and constipation may also occur. Sometimes there may be tongue pain and a smooth tongue coating. In severe anemia, the liver may be slightly enlarged, which is particularly obvious when heart failure occurs, and is often tender.

Reproductive system manifestations: Female patients often have irregular menstruation, with amenorrhea being the most common. Anemia is often caused by menorrhagia, but occasionally anemia can also cause menorrhagia. Patients with severe anemia often have decreased libido.

Urinary system manifestations: Patients with severe anemia may have a small amount of protein in their urine, and their urine concentration function may be slightly reduced. However, unless they already have kidney disease, this generally does not cause an increase in blood urea nitrogen. When acute massive intravascular hemolysis occurs, the urine may become the color of red tea or soy sauce (hemoglobinuria). If there is circulatory failure at the same time, oliguria, anuria and acute renal failure may occur.
