Where does endometriosis hurt?

Endometriosis is one of the causes of irregular menstruation and infertility in women. If a woman suffers from endometriosis, where does it hurt? If a woman suffers from endometriosis, she will experience severe pain during menstruation, especially on the first and second days of menstruation. The following is a detailed introduction on how to prevent endometriosis.

1. How painful is endometriosis?

Dysmenorrhea is the most typical symptom of endometriosis. It is secondary and progressively worsens. It often starts 1 to 2 days before menstruation, is most severe on the first day of menstruation, and gradually eases and disappears when menstruation is over. In severe stages, the pain is unbearable, and even increased doses of painkillers are ineffective. The pain is caused by internal bleeding in endometriosis lesions stimulating local tissue inflammatory response. At the same time, the endometriosis lesions secrete more prostaglandins, causing uterine muscle contractions, and dysmenorrhea is bound to be more significant.

2. Methods to prevent endometriosis

1. Marriage and childbearing at the appropriate age

Women who are late in childbearing, especially those with dysmenorrhea, should give birth as early as possible.

2. Contraceptive drugs

Women who already have children or have no plans to have children and suffer from dysmenorrhea can choose oral contraceptives, which can prevent pregnancy and reduce the occurrence of endometriosis.

3. Prevent menstrual blood from flowing backwards

During menstruation, all intense sports and heavy physical labor are prohibited; sexual intercourse should be avoided during menstruation; and diseases such as cervical adhesions and complications of menstrual blood retention should be treated as soon as possible.

4. Prevent the occurrence of iatrogenic endometriosis

During cesarean section, be careful to protect the wound to avoid implantation of endometrium in the incision. During artificial abortion, avoid suddenly reducing the negative pressure to prevent the endometrium from flowing back into the pelvic cavity. Tubal ventilation, hydrotubation, and hysterosalpingography should be performed 3 to 7 days after the menstruation is over.

Currently, the number of patients with endometriosis is increasing, and the disease is difficult to cure. Therefore, everyone should pay more attention to prevent the occurrence of this disease. Participate in more outdoor activities and drink more warm water to expel toxins from the body in time. Keep your abdomen warm during menstruation. The above is an introduction to how painful endometriosis is. I hope it can help you.
