What happens if the confinement period is not done well?

Pregnant women lose a lot of physical strength and energy during the delivery process, so women must ensure adequate rest after delivery and pay more attention to nutritional supplements to promote their body's recovery. Many mothers understand this, but there are often loopholes in its implementation. Because they need to take care of the baby during the confinement period, many new mothers do not recover very well. So, what happens if the confinement period is not done well?

1. Back pain:

During pregnancy, the weight of the body is often on the lower back. As the uterus grows, pregnant women will often experience back pain. If you can get enough rest during the confinement period, this symptom will be alleviated.

Many mothers have no one to take care of them during the confinement period, and the burden of taking care of the children falls on themselves. Due to excessive work, they may also suffer from back pain.

2. Postpartum depression:

Postpartum depression is a very common phenomenon. Data show that at least 50%-80% of mothers in my country have a tendency to depression, and 10% are diagnosed with postpartum depression. Mothers experience severe emotional changes during the confinement period, mainly due to the influence of body hormones, and some of it comes from relatives and family.

If a mother often cries, feels sad, or hesitates during the confinement period, it is a sign of depression. It is recommended that she adjust her mood in time, relieve emotions and stress, and avoid more serious situations.

3. Tears in the eyes:

This has a certain causal relationship with the previous one. If a mother sheds tears frequently during the confinement period, her eyes will become dry and tearful even after the confinement period. There are also some mothers who do not give their eyes enough rest during the confinement period, but instead look at their mobile phones day and night, which can also cause great damage to their eyes.

4. Weakened resistance:

Some mothers often feel cold after giving birth, and are easily susceptible to colds and fevers if exposed to a cool breeze. This situation is most likely due to a decline in immune function caused by the confinement period. It is recommended to take care of your body and keep warm in the future.

5. Joint pain:

Many mothers will feel obvious joint pain for a period of time after giving birth, but they cannot find the specific cause when they go to the hospital. Then you have to consider whether it is a residual disease from the confinement period. It is recommended to observe for a period of time before treatment. If the joint pain is caused by the influence of progesterone, the body will slowly recover a few months after giving birth.

During the confinement period, the mother has to regulate her own body and take care of the newborn baby. It is really hard. It is recommended that the father can give enough care and love to help the mother get through the difficult confinement period smoothly.
