There are many things that mothers need to pay attention to after giving birth. This period of time is called confinement. It is a very critical period. If you do not take good care of your body during this period, you will suffer from difficult-to-cure diseases in the future. Therefore, you should not take cold showers during the confinement period. Try to use warm water to wash, and do not let yourself get exposed to cold water or be exposed to cold wind. Suitable environment The living room for the mother and baby should be clean, bright, quiet, pleasant, ventilated, with fresh air, warm in winter, cool in summer, and of moderate temperature. Especially in summer, we should be careful to prevent heatstroke, but at the same time, when opening windows for ventilation, convection wind should be avoided. Mothers should stay away from wind outlets and should not use electric fans or air conditioners to blow directly on them to prevent mother and baby from catching a cold. Too many relatives and friends should avoid visiting the guest room to ensure that the mother and baby can rest and prevent polluted air from bringing in human germs. Personal Hygiene After a normal delivery, the mother can wash her hair, take a bath (preferably starting 3-7 days after delivery), and brush her teeth (be sure to rinse her mouth with warm water); wipe her body every two or three days in winter, take a shower in summer, not a tub bath. Regardless of winter or summer, the mother should dry her hair and body after bathing to avoid catching a cold. In addition to bathing, you should wash the vulva frequently; use warm water to wash your hair and feet to avoid postpartum diseases; and trim your nails frequently to avoid damaging the baby's delicate skin. Appropriate activities Under normal circumstances, you can get up and move around 24 hours after delivery, and increase the time of getting up and the range of activities day by day. You should insist on postpartum gymnastics and avoid heavy physical labor to prevent uterine prolapse. Do appropriate exercise. When you wake up, do not lie motionless in bed. Instead, you should combine bed rest with appropriate exercise. You can turn over in bed on the day after delivery, and rest alternately in semi-sitting and lying positions. Later, you can walk around the bed and the room, and do postpartum gymnastics to ensure your health and restore your body shape as soon as possible, which can also reduce constipation. 1. Scientific and reasonable diet allocation: Pay attention to balanced and appropriate nutrition before and after delivery. Except for the first few days after delivery, you need to eat some easily digestible food, and then you can follow a normal diet. Drinking more nutritious soups during breastfeeding can ensure sufficient milk supply. During the confinement period, a new mother needs about 3200 kcal of calories, 90-100 grams of protein, 2 grams of calcium, 15 milligrams of iron, 150 milligrams of vitamin C, and vitamins A, B1, B2, etc. every day. Pay attention to the combination of meat and vegetables. Generally, 2-3 eggs a day are enough. Too many will affect digestion and appetite. Chicken, fish, and bones are all good foods after childbirth. 2. Breastfeed your child yourself: Breastfeeding can not only promote uterine contraction and involution, reduce postpartum hemorrhage and infection, and regulate endocrine, buttocks fat stored in the abdominal wall and buttocks during pregnancy can be converted into milk, which can effectively lose weight and help maintain slimness after childbirth, which can be said to be "killing two birds with one stone". Early postpartum activity: Generally speaking, under normal circumstances, the mother can start activities on the second day, doing some smaller-amplitude bed exercises or postpartum gymnastics, and gradually increase the amount of exercise over time. However, you cannot squat for a long time within a month. You can use a belly belt, but do not tighten your waist too much to avoid uterine prolapse or pelvic inflammatory disease. |
