No obvious fetal movement at 23 weeks of pregnancy

Friends who are pregnant should all know that after a certain period of time, fetal movements will become more frequent and regular. At the 23rd week of pregnancy, if the fetal movement is not obvious or decreases, you must do relevant examinations in time, because normally the fetal movement is regular. The fetal movement can actually reflect the baby's activity level. If the fetal movement is not obvious, you can go to the hospital to consult a doctor in time.

Normal obvious fetal movements should be no less than 3 to 5 times per hour, and more than 30 to 40 times in 12 hours. However, due to the large individual differences among fetuses, some fetuses may move about 100 times in 12 hours. As long as the fetal movements are regular, rhythmic, and do not vary much, it proves that the fetal development is normal. Normal fetal movement indicates that the placenta is functioning well, that the fetus is receiving sufficient oxygen, that the fetus is growing and developing healthily in the uterus, and that the fetus is moving happily. If the fetal movement is less than 20 times within 12 hours, or less than 3 times within 1 hour, it often means that the fetus may be suffering from hypoxia, and pregnant mothers should not take it lightly.

The number of fetal movements is not constant. The period from 28 to 38 weeks of pregnancy is the most active period of fetal movement, which then weakens slightly until delivery. The pregnant woman's movement, posture, emotions, loud noises, strong light, and touching the abdomen can all cause changes in fetal movement.

1. After meals: Since the blood sugar level in the pregnant woman's body increases after taking in food, the baby also has nutrition supply, and fetal movements will become more frequent.

2. When taking a bath: Pregnant women are more relaxed physically and mentally when taking a bath. This emotion will "infect" the baby, making the fetus more energetic.

3. Before going to bed at night: The baby moves more frequently before going to bed because the baby is more energetic at this time, and the pregnant woman can quietly and carefully feel the fetal movement at this time.

4. When interacting with the fetus: Whether it is the father or the mother, there will be fetal movement response when interacting with the fetus.

5. When listening to music: External music stimulation will make the fetus active, which is a manifestation of the fetus's emotions.
