Gynecological laser treatment

Gynecological laser treatment

Women are more likely to develop gynecological diseases, but there are many types of gynecological diseases, so the treatment methods for each gynecological disease are also different. One of the gynecological diseases is caused by papillomavirus, which is genital warts. Genital warts can make women's lower body feel itchy and have odor, so they need to be treated with external force. If laser treatment is used to treat genital warts, can it be completely removed?

【Main principles】

It is to use the original beam or focus it to burn or cut and remove the diseased tissue.

advantage

1. Fast. Can quickly remove genital warts lesions in a few minutes or even seconds;

2. Accurate. Can accurately grasp the depth and range of carbonized sharp wetness and its pathological tissues;

3. Little damage to the tissues adjacent to the lesion. During treatment, tissue destruction can be limited to the site of the lesion;

4. Less bleeding. There is minimal bleeding during laser therapy, or no bleeding at all if high-power lasers are used.

【Indications】

Genital warts, cervical erosion, skin lesions of various sizes, etc.

【Treatment methods and steps】

1. After receiving the treatment order, check the patient's name, treatment items, treatment area and requirements.

2. Turn on the laser machine, turn the key switch, the "Random" light turns on, and switch to "Ready". Press the power adjustment button, the numbers on the dial will flash, press the desired number to confirm the power.

3. Lay the treatment sheet and select different body positions such as supine, lithotomy, and side-lying according to the location of the lesion to fully expose the lesion.

4. Hairy areas should be shaved.

5. Use iodine cotton balls to routinely disinfect the skin and mucous membranes.

6. Use 1% lidocaine for local anesthesia or block anesthesia according to the location and size of the lesion.

7. Adjust the laser output power according to the damage size.

8. During treatment, for minor lesions, the burning (gasification, carbonization) method is used to remove them. The laser can be directed to the surface of the wart, emitted in a point-like manner, and quickly vaporized. For large lesions, the laser can be directed to the root for cutting and vaporization removal, reaching 2mm around the periphery of the wart and deep into the dermis.

9. During the treatment, use a cotton swab with 3% hydrogen peroxide to wipe off the eschar continuously, and observe at any time whether the diseased tissue is completely removed. The depth should reach the basal cell layer of the epidermis, or even the dermis, and the area (range) should exceed the visible lesion edge by 1-2mm and the normal-looking skin mucosa or tissue.

10. After the treatment, apply 2% gentian violet or antibacterial ointment topically and keep the area clean and dry.

11. Explain precautions to the patient.

12. Arrange your belongings and turn off the power.

Possible adverse reactions after treatment

1. The main reaction is redness and swelling on the wound surface. After the scab falls off, a mild erosion surface remains. The wound usually heals in 7-10 days.

2. If the area is large or deep and the patient does not pay attention to hygiene, it may be infected by bacteria.

3. People with scar-prone constitution should avoid laser treatment that is too deep.

4. For urethral warts, pay attention to the possibility of wound adhesion after surgery, which may cause stenosis and shrinkage of the urethral opening.

5. Be careful not to go too deep into the anus, which may cause damage to the anal sphincter and lead to fecal incontinence or anal fistula.

Note: Pay attention to protection during the operation and wear a twelve-layer gauze mask when necessary.
