Thick vaginal discharge during ovulation

Thick vaginal discharge during ovulation

In fact, the leucorrhea situation of each woman is different. Some women have thinner leucorrhea, but some women have thicker leucorrhea. In fact, the main reason for this situation is due to internal reasons of women's bodies. However, many women find that their leucorrhea becomes thick only during ovulation. Is it normal for women to have thick vaginal discharge during ovulation?

During the ovulation period, the leucorrhea will be a little abnormal than usual, and may appear sticky, stringy, and jelly-like. This situation is caused by the ovulation period. As long as there is no abnormality in the leucorrhea and no vaginal itching, there is no problem.

Normal leucorrhea should be white or colorless, transparent, and have a slightly fishy smell or odor. The secretion of texture is affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone, and changes cyclically with the menstrual cycle, with the amount decreasing and the texture becoming thicker. Generally, the amount of leucorrhea is small during menstruation and before ovulation. Due to the increase in estrogen levels, epithelial cell proliferation and increased secretion of cervical glands, the mucus of cervical mucus increases, the content of sodium chloride in it increases, which can absorb more water, making the leucorrhea during ovulation thin and bright in color, like egg white, and can be stretched into long threads. After ovulation, the estrogen level is low, the hormone level rises, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus is also reduced, so the leucorrhea is sticky, white in color, has poor ductility, and is easily broken and stretched.

The leucorrhea is sticky and clumpy but has no odor, color, or quantity. It is a normal physiological leucorrhea. If it is during the ovulation period, this situation cannot be ruled out. But you can't tell whether he is ovulating at this time. If you can, you can choose to use ovulation test combined with B-ultrasound to monitor ovulation for more accurate results.

The symptoms of leucorrhea during ovulation are the same as those during normal times, except that the amount of leucorrhea increases slightly. During ovulation, the amount of vaginal secretions increases significantly and becomes watery, transparent and clear. At this time, women will feel their vulva is wet and slippery, and when wiping with toilet paper, there will be egg white-like strips of mucus. When a woman experiences such ovulation symptoms, it is the time when she is most likely to get pregnant, and it usually lasts for 2 to 3 days. Excessive vaginal discharge may be the ovulation period, but it cannot be completely certain. Because when some gynecological diseases occur, there will be excessive vaginal discharge.

1. Cervical erosion: Childbirth lacerations, changes in sex hormones, or cervical inflammation caused by sexual intercourse may all lead to cervical erosion and increase in leucorrhea. A small number of women may experience cervical erosion without any cause, which is called "congenital cervical erosion", which can also cause increased leucorrhea.

2. Atrophic vaginitis: A small number of women have lost both ovaries due to the disease or have early menopause or post-menopause women. Due to the gradual lack of estrogen in the body, the vaginal wall will gradually become fragile and susceptible to bacterial infection and inflammation, leading to an increase in leucorrhea.

3. Vaginal Trichomonas infection: This infection can easily cause an increase in leucorrhea, accompanied by a foul odor, and itching of the genitals. It is generally believed that this infection is a type of sexually transmitted disease, which can easily be transmitted between sexual partners. During treatment, the sexual partners must be treated at the same time to prevent cross-infection and achieve a complete cure.
