How long does it take for menstruation to come after an ectopic pregnancy

Some girls may suffer from ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy is a very serious disease, which is generally manifested by the embryo implanting outside the uterus. It can cause great harm to the female body and cause symptoms such as severe bleeding. After an ectopic pregnancy, an abortion is required. After the abortion, menstruation will generally resume between 1-3 months. However, if menstruation does not occur, disease factors should be considered. So, how long does it take to get menstruation after an ectopic pregnancy is healed?

1. Will menstruation occur if there is an ectopic pregnancy?

Women will experience amenorrhea after becoming pregnant, and if it is an ectopic pregnancy, they will also experience amenorrhea after pregnancy.

Early symptoms of ectopic pregnancy

1. Menopause

70% to 80% of patients have a history of amenorrhea. A small number of patients may have symptoms before the next menstruation, so there is no amenorrhea, and they may also mistakenly regard vaginal bleeding as the last menstruation. Generally, menopause lasts between 5 and 8 weeks.

2. Abdominal pain

It is the main symptom of tubal pregnancy destruction, with an incidence of 95%. It is often characterized by sudden tearing or paroxysmal pain on one side of the lower abdomen, accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Stimulating the diaphragm can cause radiating pain in the shoulder blades. When fluid accumulates in the pelvic cavity, there is a feeling of heaviness and defecation in the anus. It is very helpful in diagnosing ectopic pregnancy.

3. Vaginal bleeding

Most of them are in the form of drops, dark brown, small in amount, not exceeding the menstrual volume. Vaginal bleeding is caused by endometrial ablation or fallopian tube bleeding discharged through the uterine cavity. Abdominal pain accompanied by vaginal bleeding is often a sign of fetal damage. If there is only abdominal pain but no vaginal bleeding, it is usually due to continued fetal survival or abdominal pregnancy, so you should be vigilant.

4. Syncope and shock

It is caused by acute bleeding and severe pain in the abdominal cavity. The more and faster the bleeding, the quicker and more severe the symptoms will appear. It can cause dizziness, pale complexion, thin pulse, low blood pressure, and cold sweats, leading to dangerous conditions such as fainting and shock.
