Why do women always want to pee?

I believe that everyone must have encountered such a situation in daily life, that is, some women dare not drink water when going out to play, even if they are very thirsty. The reason they gave was that drinking too much water would lead to going to the toilet. After all, women go to the toilet like men do, and they can't just find any place. In daily life, some women often feel the urge to defecate even if they don't drink water. What's going on?

Frequent urination in women is not caused by excessive urination due to drinking too much water, but refers to the fact that even when the amount of urine is small, they still urinate from time to time, which is characterized by "small amount but frequent urination". If an adult's total urine volume in 24 hours exceeds 2500 ml, he or she may be suffering from diseases such as diabetes and diabetes insipidus. This situation is not the category of frequent urination.

Bladder factors. The bladder is an organ that stores urine. Under normal circumstances, the bladder can store a certain amount of urine (usually 300 ml). When the amount of urine gradually increases and a certain pressure is formed in the bladder, the bladder will send a message and people will feel the urge to urinate. However, when the effective volume of the bladder is reduced due to disease, the amount of urine stored naturally decreases, and it is easy to feel the urge to urinate in a short period of time. For example, there is a tumor, stone, foreign body, ectopic endometrium in the bladder, or the organs near the bladder are enlarged, such as ovarian tumor or cyst, pregnancy or uterine fibroids. Excessive obesity and other conditions that put external pressure on the bladder will affect the effective volume of the bladder and cause frequent urination. Even a small amount of urine will produce a strong urge to urinate. Therefore, anyone who has frequent urination urge, especially elderly women, must pay enough attention and see a doctor for necessary examinations to prevent major diseases from "missing the net". Generally speaking, B-ultrasound can detect related diseases without causing any harm to the human body.

Infectious factors. Due to the physiological characteristics of women, the total length of the urethra is much shorter than that of men, creating opportunities for ascending infections such as bacteria, viruses, and pathogens. Once pathogenic microorganisms infect the body, if the amount is large or the patient's disease resistance is poor, their reproduction rate will accelerate, causing certain effects on the bladder. The stimulation of inflammation often causes the urge to urinate even when there is very little urination. This frequent urge to urinate can dilute the bacteria and "drive out" the bladder through frequent urination. Frequent urination caused by inflammation is accompanied by the special sensations of urgency (the feeling of having to urinate immediately) and dysuria (pain in the urethra when urinating). When it comes to infection caused by pathogenic microorganisms, it is important to treat it early and effectively. Antibiotics should be used symptomatically and in sufficient quantities to “eradicate the evil completely”. It is important to avoid using them lightly, stopping them intermittently, or abusing them, to prevent the formation of chronic diseases.

Mental factors. People always have a feeling that when they are about to get on a train, board a plane, or depart, they habitually urinate, but many people feel the urge to urinate again soon after urinating. This is the result of mental effects. Mental stress or neuropathy related to urination can cause nervous system reflex disorders and annoying frequent urination. Psychogenic polydipsia, polyuria and neurogenic cystitis are common causes of psychoneurological factors. Frequent insomnia, indigestion, or severe neurasthenia, and frequent urination before going to bed are more common in middle-aged women. Frequent urination caused by mental factors usually manifests itself as more or less urine at times, with obvious "signs" of mental effects. Frequent urination caused by mental stress will not cause serious consequences to your health. For those whose frequent urination affects their study, work, and rest, psychological therapy and nerve-regulating drug treatment can be performed. Especially for some long-term and severe frequent urination, relevant examinations should be carried out carefully, and it should not be easily diagnosed as frequent urination caused by psychoneurological factors.
