What is the cause of breast fibroadenoma?

What is the cause of breast fibroadenoma?

There are mammary glands in the human breast, whether it is male or female, but due to the special physical constitution and complex physiological structure of women, women's breasts are more prone to diseases, so breast fibroadenomas will occur. Breast fibroadenomas are often seen in outpatient clinics because this disease often occurs in young women between the ages of 20 and 30. Some people will undergo surgery, but some will also be treated with traditional conservative methods. Many people will still suffer from breast fibroadenomas even if they have a light diet. This is related to the individual's physical constitution. Therefore, patients with breast fibroadenomas should not only maintain a light diet, but also regulate hormones well and cooperate with medication to prevent the disease from worsening.

What is this tumor called?

First of all, let's clarify a concept. Most breast tumors are "fibroadenomas." Some patients will call them "fibromas." Strangely, some doctors also say so. In fact, it should be called "fibroadenoma". This is because this type of tumor contains two components, one is the "fibrous component" and the other is the "glandular cell component". It is obviously wrong to just call it a "fibroid".

There is a certain relationship between diet and the growth of fibroadenoma, but diet is not the fundamental factor in the growth of fibroadenoma. Two sisters who grew up in the same living environment often have one of them repeatedly develop breast fibroadenomas, while the other only has some breast hyperplasia and has never developed fibroadenomas. Therefore, the occurrence of fibroadenoma must be determined by internal factors, that is, "estrogen". According to existing data, estrogen can promote the growth of fibroadenomas. Estrogen is like food for fibroadenomas. The more of this "food" you eat, the faster the fibroadenomas will grow. Of course, a considerable number of patients with multiple fibroadenomas have blood tests that show that their estrogen levels are completely normal. This is generally because their tumor cells have more estrogen receptors. This situation causes tumors to utilize estrogen more efficiently than others. Just like obese people who eat very little but still keep gaining weight, while thin people who eat a lot of meat and fish still stay slim. So where do these tumors come from? I'm afraid it should be attributed to physical factors. That is to say, your genes determine that you are prone to developing this type of tumor. These patients have many tumor "seeds" in their bodies, and when the time is right, they will take root, sprout, and grow. This opportunity is the stimulation of "estrogen".

How to prevent tumor growth

We should not interfere with endogenous estrogen, but we can reduce the intake of exogenous estrogen.

1. Try not to choose oral contraceptives for contraception. Oral contraceptives generally contain estrogen and progesterone to varying degrees.

2. Do not have repeated miscarriages. Multiple miscarriages not only destroy women's reproductive function, but are also one of the causes of benign and malignant breast diseases.

3. Try not to use supplements, health products, and cosmetics that may contain estrogen, whether they are for oral or external use. This mainly refers to royal jelly, pollen, placenta, animal ovaries, etc. Some cosmetics that claim to have whitening and skin-refining effects may also contain estrogen, so you should be careful when choosing.

4. In daily life, try to eat less animal fat and consume vegetable oil in moderation, because fat will become the raw material for producing estrogen when it enters the body.

5. Some artificially farmed animals and plants are given more hormone-like additives during the breeding process. After these animals and plants are eaten by humans, the undegraded additives continue to play estrogen-like roles in the human body.
