1: The main characteristics of senile vaginitis are excessive vaginal discharge, bloody discharge and odor. It is mainly due to the decline of ovarian function and low estrogen levels, which cause the disappearance of glycogen in the vaginal epithelium, reduced vaginal secretions, and alkaline properties, which weaken women's vaginal resistance and eventually cause infection and lead to senile vaginal. If a gynecological internal examination is performed, it can be found that the vaginal mucosa has atrophied and thinned, and scattered bleeding spots and surface ulcers can be seen on the vaginal mucosa.

2: The main clinical manifestations of endometritis are increased leucorrhea and a small amount of bleeding. The endometrium of postmenopausal women shrinks and becomes thinner due to the loss of the effect of estrogen, the surface epithelium flakes off, and the cervical endometrium becomes inflamed. If a gynecological examination is performed, an enlarged and tender uterus may be found, sometimes accompanied by fever.

3: The clinical manifestations of endometrial cancer are irregular vaginal bleeding of small or moderate amounts or bloody leucorrhea before and after menopause. Gynecological examination: The uterus did not shrink, but was full and hard, and there were no abnormal changes in the cervix.

Ovarian cancer tumors produce a large amount of estrogen, which causes the atrophic endometrium to proliferate and lead to vaginal bleeding. Gynecological examination: solid masses may be felt on one or both sides of the lower abdomen. They vary in size, usually medium in size, and some may have cystic changes.

After menopause, the endometrium atrophies due to lack of support from estrogen secreted by the ovaries. However, in some women, the endometrium is still stimulated by a small amount of estrogen secreted by the adrenal glands after menopause, causing the endometrium to grow and resulting in uterine bleeding. This situation can be finally confirmed through diagnostic curettage.

Some women usually suffer from severe cervical erosion and cervical polyps, so bleeding may be induced after sexual intercourse.

For patients, the first thing to do is to understand in detail the amount and nature of bleeding, the length of time since menopause, the presence of a pelvic mass, and other symptoms, and then do a vaginal exfoliated cell test if necessary to make a clear diagnosis as soon as possible so that symptomatic treatment can be started as soon as possible.
