What to do about amenorrhea caused by obesity

I believe everyone knows what amenorrhea is. To put it simply, it means that women will no longer have menstruation. This kind of situation usually occurs to women when they reach middle age. Of course, there are special cases, such as amenorrhea caused by obesity, which is also possible. There are also other reasons, such as diseases. Therefore, if you have menopause before the age of menopause, you must go for a check-up.

Amenorrhea is mainly caused by hypothalamic-pituitary dysfunction. Although the pathogenesis of this type of amenorrhea is similar, the original cause is not the same, so the treatment must also take different measures according to different situations. For example, actively treating systemic diseases, strengthening nutrition to increase body fat, exercising, improving living environment, relaxing, using estrogen and progesterone for artificial cycle treatment or using gonadotropin treatment, etc., can also be treated through Chinese medicine differentiation of symptoms, which are beneficial to improving physical fitness and consolidating therapeutic effects.

Women with simple obesity often suffer from menstrual disorders, which are often manifested as dysfunctional uterine bleeding or secondary amenorrhea. Someone surveyed 100 patients with menstrual disorders, of whom 43% were obese. Another long-term follow-up study of 32 obese amenorrhea patients found that weight loss can restore normal menstruation, while none of the women who could not lose weight resumed menstruation and remained amenorrhea.

The causes of menstrual disorders and amenorrhea in women with simple obesity are still unclear, but may be related to metabolic defects or high levels of androgen in the body. Losing weight while treating menstruation can improve the efficacy and even restore menstruation to normal.

If women encounter abnormal amenorrhea, they will definitely be very worried. Amenorrhea caused by obesity is also relatively common, so they must stay calm. At this time, you can consult a doctor about what to do. Not only should you rely on medication, you must also work hard to control your weight and not let yourself get fatter. I hope the above content can help you.
